Refrigerated clones?

Well it's 7 weeks and 4 days and I've stuck one in a bubbler.
I think it looks good all considered I'm expecting it to root lol.
What do you think?

I lifted the clone our for a look and found the bottom was soft and mushy, the clone itself looks fine from above, without feeing the mush I thought rooting was a formality, any ideas what's up with it I've not felt/seen this mushy stem before?
I've put into a bubbler nothing fancy only a ice cream tub with an air stone, but it works just fine.
I've re cut and gave a dab of clonex (fingers crossed)
The other 2 smaller ones had been roasted with me using neat run off, I only put them in out of curiosity to see if they could be revived, that's been 2 weeks from good as dead to rooted so I've no doubt about it working.
Any ideas?

Are these the ones you took out to photograph and they drew moisture? Back in the early mid 2000s when I was trading clones with a lot of people, we found that any moisture in the bags when we shipped caused problems, And I found the same with keeping them in the fridge for rooting later. After a month or so of being in the fridge, they would look like I had just cut them. I would snip the very bottom off, then root them like a fresh cutting never had any problems with them.

No they ones that got covered in moisture didn't last long afterwards, when I had a look around 3 weeks after they were flat and dead but not mouldy or rotten, fortunately I had plenty at the time so I bagged other cuts after the moisture scenario, but i didn't remove them from the fridge ever... once bitten and all that lol.
These are 8 weeks +/- a day
The clone stem that went mushy was out of this bag, since removing I've cut it twice and a dab clonex?
Fingers crossed it doesn't turn to mush this time!
Eta the 1st time I also scraped the stem hopefully that's the reason for the mush but I doubt it?

I've got problems with the stem turning mushy although the plant is clearly responding to the light?
The previous attempts were submerged I've got some more in a bubble cloner using water instead of nutrient + a few ml of H2o2, we'll see how it goes this time.
Back left is clearly responding, these ones are now 8 weeks in the fridge.

Update... We have a root, I feel like a new dad again lol
It appeared through the night, I gave it close going over yesterday and there was none.
7 weeks and 4 days I'm delighted with that, looking back a certain amount of luck was involved.
The ones that went under the led aren't doing well but the ones started under T5s in the dim are doing fine one has rooted and I expect the other one will too, I gave it a check yesterday and the stem is still firm.
The mushy stem was a bit of mystery but not submerged they're doing fine?

Why not just pot them, let them veg. longer and top before flipping if they get too tall or veg without nutes and increase the light height so slow them down a bit.

I almost binned it a couple of days ago as it looks like shit however the stem was still firm so I decided I'd leave a bit longer.
It the one at the back right you can see why I was going to bin it, I expected the one 2nd from front to root next.

I'm left with 3 for various reasons 2 have rooted one looks fine but still no roots showing.
The one that was left a full 8 weeks+ then bleached with led has done best?
This one was the 1st one out the fridge 4/5 days before the one above.
And there's one other that looks fine but not rooted.

I'm glad you mentioned the auto I meant to ask how your rooted clones done?
I remember hearing that they couldn't be cloned, well that was a challenge lol, I struck a few clone of caramel cream and got busted 2/3 days later so I never got to finish my experiment with them.
I've just cut these for a future project
these should be work better being in veg and being cut straight from the plant, the ones above were taken from a plant that was cut down and placed in a bag 2/3 days previous, it was them still looking viable in the bag that 1st spawned the idea?

The auto I took them from was being stubborn. I believe that it doesn't like how bright the light is. It yellows out all new growth, but then it goes to a nice green days later. The clones are doing ok I guess.
This is after they rooted, and I put them in cups. (2 in the back)
Here they are last night. The yellowing I'm guessing is from the strain being a heavy feeder on mag.
I have them in FFOF, and feeding calmag at 5ml/gal when I water.

@HydroKid239 so much for not being able to clone auto's well done, there's no reason I'm aware of why they won't flower as normal, it'll be interesting to see how they progress.
