4 Uncle bens nocd with blue meanies on 11/1 all colonizing along with tub spawned with 1.5 brf jars to coco and along with another shoebox with 2 brfs spawned today and other half jar cased is fruiting invitro but i took the coco off and put it in the sgfc.... these fruits broke the veil quickly

Yea ive had some friends that were doing uncle bens tek. My apt is super small and everything im doing is in my 4x4 tent. So this setup was super easy. 52 hours in and now signs of myc growth tho

How many days before you noticed myc growth in the brf jars? Whats your incubation temp?

I think around 1 week ill have to check my calendar. I believe its all post here. I noticed myc in the uncleben in 3 days . Incubation around 78-80 i heard higher than 80 and its perfect temperatures for contam . It did go to 85 when my heat pad accidentally got cranked up i used the oven door method lost 2 jars had funny color so i put them in the trash i was honestly expecting 50-75. Contamination my appartment is old as hell with carpets that probably are not the most hypoallergenic

Ok, let's apply some critical thinking with temperature and contamination.


You cant really find a temperature where your selection of species grows but "weed" molds will not. All of their metabolisms work faster the higher the temperature until they reach a critical high temperature and then reach thermal death.

Some species will create various exudates in reaction to critical temperatures and these exudates are susceptible to contamination. A weakened mycelium may have more trouble fending off wandering spores.


However.

If you have a sterile environment then there are no offending spores in there.

If there are no offending spores, then no temperature will invite contamination.

If you aren't in a sterile environment then your mycelium will grow faster as the temperature goes up so you dont really invite contamination so long as you are within the right range for this mushroom.


I think I recall that to be...84 degrees f.?

Maybe 86.

Dude i watched so sir david attenborough plant earth this weekend on 4 grams 2 golden teachers 2blue meanies next time ill probably take 3 grams because it was super intense hit me in 25-30min i felt butterfly's within 10 minutes of eating the dry mushrooms with a koolaid chasher

Some awesome growers on twitch. Nothing like home grown fruits. Idk where my guy got his spores from, but it was some good stuff. Also had B+ . Glad I got him as a friend

Cakes all doing well still picking fruits every day. Monotub is now pinning and will be fruiting very soon. All for UBen bags are colonizing well. Also received spores today im little upset they gave me extra rusty white instead of lizard kings but i got everything else i wanted fast shipping only 4 days and 43$ for 6 syringes

Yea its just this one cake is so different than the others. I know it is one of the two i mixed. Could the b+ have mixed with the golden mammoth?
