sorry i'm confused !!!!!!!!!!!! i have read that members here are vegging 4 weeks , 8 weeks , and 12 weeks . before they start the flowering stage of 12/12 all this in the indoor growing section . why ?????????? if an indoor plant is genetically only going to grow 2-3 ft then why waste so much time and money on electric ?????? also please explain any other questions i might have forgotten .......

When you flower a plant it will double triple maybe even quadruple its size, so if you grow it to 1 foot then it would be maybe 2 foot.

So basically people veg to different ages sex's because their situation allows for it

A mature plant should have more budsites....more bud. Maybe even better bud too.

Not sure about indoor plants only growing 3ft max. Thre longer you veg....the bigger the plant will be. More bud too...did I mention that? Lol

And I'm not sure if you meant to just plant a seed...sprout it...thern flower from there? I'm sure you'd get little to nothing for your effort....or lack thereof.

More veg...bigger plants....bigger plants...more bud. In a nutshell.

Alot of strains will grow larger than 2-3 ft. Its simple really. The longer you veg a plant the larger it will be when going into flowering thus producing a larger yeild. The size of your grow area will determine the size you want your plants. If you have 8' of head room you could veg your plants to a third of that hight without running out of vertical grow space. Its all about get the largest yeild possible with space you have to work with. Hope this helps.

Amen, I wish more people were as kind as this person. He answered the question with thought and personality. I am so sick of little twits who just lurk on here with sarcism and BS. I posted a thread about an odor technique that I am using (it's working) and 3/4 of the follow ups were BS remarks. It's the reason I am seriously considering finding another site. When I found this site a while back, I thought it was heaven. Now I am attempting my 2nd (cross your fingers) try and get more BS than I thought existed. Once again I applaud you and double thank you from me! Now if only someone could tell me exactly how to FIM my plants. I really am considering doing it too one of my ladies but need more exact advice and an answer that I could take seriously. Here's a link to my pics if you got the time.

While I agree with you for the most part, the limiting factor on an indoor grow, is your lighting. Not the height of your grow room.

There is no point in growing a 7 foot monster inside, if your light only penetrates down 18 inches.
I hope you find this helpful.
Peace

And I'm so sick of the 'silly twits' that constantly ask questions that are answered in the GrowFAQ, why don't those 'silly twits' think of bothering to read the GrowFAQ where they'd find the answer of how to FIM their plants, as well as the reasons for vegging them at different times. No, they just want to ask questions all the time and have people spoon feed them the answers - go do some research of your own.

That's why people post flippant remarks because others can't be bothered to get off their arse and do some learning and research for themselves.

Sounds like you need to puff something good and chill the hell out. NOBODY is here to cater to you. So if someone responds to your question and you dont like the tone...keep it moving and look for another. Im sure nobody would miss you if you left. Seriously. So the threats to leave mean pretty much nothing. Searching for yourself may be a good idea too.

I agree, and with all due respect, I was also asuming lighting was optamal. If he is growing under a strair case for example, it would play a big part in his grow. I fully agree that Lighting is the more important factor when "sizing" your plants.
