Another yellow leaf question but different

So I've seen a lot of posts on yellow leaves and know that it could be a couple different things. I transplanted my clone Sunday to 3gal pots with FF Happy Frog soil. Its had 1 light 6.4 ph watering and today I gave the plants 15ml of bog bloom and 2ml of cal mag, little less than half a gallon each. Tested run off, ph came out about 5.2 roughly for both and ppm was sky high at 2700-2800 (no more nutes obviously, just ph till that levels out since I know soil comes with nutes premixed.)

Anyone know what else could be causing this? It seems to be most of the new growth that is turning yellow on the inside of the leaf going outward.

Also stem is turning purple but I've read in other threads as well that it could be a sun burn or just shock from the transplant. I have a mars hydro on the way friday and getting rid of the "blurple".

Actually just thought of it, in a different thread someone told me to turn my bloom light on with the veg, could it possibly be burning the leaves?

Why add calmag? You're in soil, not coco. You using RO water or tap water.
To be honest I don't know much of what I'm doing and figured since big bloom is 0 - .5 - .75 I figured it needs nitrogen and also thought possibly the yellowing was lack of nitrogen. Tap water, im letting the tap water sit out for about an hour or so before using ph up or down or adding any nutes to it.

Trust me, I wish I understood all this more lol. Im just having a hard time with all the info that's out there putting together the proper way to do things. Everyone always says they have their way of doing things so there isn't much of a clear outline.

Put that PH up and Down in a closet and dont pull it out again.

Hide that cal mag alongside it..

Your tapwater has enough micronutrients along with your ferts you're using.

N def starts on the bottom leaves and goes from the tips in towards the plant.
that's not N def I don't think

doesn't happy frog come with enough nutrients for a month or two? Or is that just ocean forest?
can you take so.e pics without the purple light
Yeah ill take some pics for you in just a minute here. And it does come pre mixed so im not using anymore nutes for awhile cuz like I said in the initial post the ppm runoff was sky high.

So even if the ph is at around 7.8 - 8 that won't affect the plant? Again everything I've read and seen people say ideal ph is 6.0 - 7.0

Don't listen to those clowns.. Most of em signed up a week ago and haven't harvested dick yet.

Your soil happy frog has buffers in there to neutralize the PH.. Just alternate between feeding..then watering every time until you harvest. ID start out at half strength according to directions on your nutes.

You’re starving them .... big bloom is only organic of the “ trio “. Not enough to feed alone . You should have been running Grow Big . Plants need all available elements either by feed or medium. Which be a sign it is depleting because it needs yo be fed.

I just transplanted them Sunday, and have given them 1 watering and 1 feeding of big bloom. Wouldn't the nutrients in the soil and the 1 feeding/ 1 watering in 4 days be enough for them? I'm just trying to get an idea of what I should be doing cuz I don't want to give them too much nutrients and burn them.

Hit plant with epsom salt spray ( magnesium sulfate ) in a foliar mix to help green them back up. Purp colors indicate some issue ( sometimes from just genetics ) but in can be from temp / ph also.

If you want a simple way to feed .... without going nutz over ratios and other shit. Go grab a bag of FFOF ( ocean forest ) ... Top dress a scoop or so of that and water in at 6.5 ( even tap water ). Ffof is a more complete medium than HF ( higher ammended) . This simple method is fool proof as plant becomes acclimated to host medium without bottle dumps to feed.

Make sure grow area is not running too cool at night as wet / cool medium impacts growth. Ran into similar things before - adjusted temps so root area is warm and happy and plants recover.

For sure ill give it a try. And my temps when lights are on are about 78°-81°F Humidity 55-65% Lights off are about 69°-72°F Humidity around 50% or so.

Also the Epsom salt spray, should I do this when the lights turn off so they have the 6 hours of darkness to soak into the leaves and not burn from the light? I see a lot of people saying not to spray your leaves when lights are on.

Jacks classic 20-20-20 is all ya need. Bottled nutes are a waste of money, your paying for a lot of water.

20$ worth of jacks will last you 2 years. It has everything you need.
Lol, the shit you learn after buying everything you think you need. :dunce: how would you suggest dosing if its a higher concentrate?
