House votes to decriminalize marijuana at federal level

You do realize that most laws are written these days by the industry that the legislation is meant to regulate, than they hand it off to their paid stooge in congress to introduce it.
I'm honestly not going to say I'm great with politics when I'm not but I try better to understand because I know it's important...

Still learning. Young blood out here boss.

Wrong.

It is legal right now to make (distill) your own liquor. You simply are limited to making enough for your own consumption.

Marijuana is no different. If you decriminalize it completely, then people will be able to grow their own; they would simply be limited to growing it for their own consumption, which is what the majority of people want.

The issue you see now in legal states like California is greed. What you have are people bitching about what it takes to get a grow license but that's only because they want to grow it to sell it. Or they grow 20 plants to sell but then say it's for their own consumption and cry like babies when the police don't believe them and ticket/jail them.

California has no issue at all with anybody growing their own pot for their own consumption any more than any other legal state does. That doesn't mean you grow 10 plants at a time for crying out loud.

Total decriminalization would be no different.
It's up to the individual counties here in Cali. The county I grow in it's only a code violation for growing more than your legal limit. And enforcement is "complaint driven" only. so if you get along with your neighbors your cool, the sheriff ain;t out looking for pot. A code violation is like a fixit ticket with fines if you don't comply...lets just say i get along real good with my neighbors...:D

All these commercial grow operations cry nonstop about home grows and the black market, I imagine they have a powerful lobby now in DC.
They do.

That's why they don't want it legalized at the federal level. That's the only way they can keep it "licensed" and "controlled" under state laws they can pay for and control.

Just relaying what I was told from someone that is the head gardener for a commercial grow op. All these commercial grow operations cry nonstop about home grows and the black market, I imagine they have a powerful lobby now in DC.

Is it a common problem now for large commercial growers to be sitting on barrel upon barrel of unsold product?

I never said they are going to legalize, I heard they only want to lower it to schedule 2.

LOL!

No.

The Congress is just using this moment for brownie points. They don't want the bill passed any more than Republicans do. They make a great deal of money off it as well.

They did it now knowing that McConnell would shelve it.

If they really cared, they would have waited to see the outcome of our election runoffs in Georgia. Because if we win both those seats, the house would be evenly split 50/50 and the bill would have a real chance. McConnell wouldn't be able to shelve it as he wouldn't have a majority.

It would be VP Harris that would put it on the floor.

But Congress didn't do that because they knew it would probably pass and a lot of them, like their republican comrades, would lose a lot of money.
Are you claiming what they did was just politics? :bigjoint:

I had a friend tell me that part of push to decriminalize-lower the schedule of it in DC will be to eliminate home grows if they can.
I had a friend tell me that NJ legalized but you can’t do home grown. It’s really mind Boggling . It’s like when I was about to enter a room the other day and before I got up to the door I heard a door bell go off inside the room. Lol. So what would they do if they caught you growing in a legal state?

I'm happy as hell for you guys, I still won't be able to smoke, there's no way the feds will let me drive a CMV and have mj in my system

But anyways -

So basically you have to pass a drug urine test in order to work and pay taxes to pay people who collect welfare and do drugs?

"Thank you for your service" - The stoned recipients of your labor

Well what you're saying isn't a opinion it is wrong....

You're talking about legalizing (when this is only about decriminalization) but if you make it legal than uncle sam doesn't make money. So your wrong

If you decriminalize it and let states regulate it that's how they get the money. Not by legalizing.
So obviously you don’t know the definition of the word opinion. I didn’t state what I said to be a fact. Now if you want to nitpick at the fact that I mentioned or spoke about legalization and not decriminalizing, you might wanna find something else to entertain yourself with. I’m not here to act like a know it all, nor am I going to change my opinion to jell with yours. Like I said, you are entitled to your opinion, and that’s all it is.

Make you pay all the tax on it plus fines. Sorta like they did when they raided Indian Reservations and gathered info for all the cig shipments off lands.

Fuck MedMen, fuck Berner and Cookies and everyone else selling out our shared intellectual property to these VC vultures who are going to do everything they can to consolidate and control the market.

I cant find the article at the moment, (I thought it was Rhode Island) but there is already some state that has decided to go state licensed cultivation only, and revoked right to grow at home and is sending compliance officers around to make sure you dont have a grow going.

Stock up on seeds. They are gonna lock that shit down real quick.
