What are the top 3 strains you've ever grown and why?

1) Blue Dream - The high was unlike anything else I've ever experienced. The yield was heavy. The flavor was as amazing as the high. Lots of staking.
2) Black Widow - Monstrously big colas with a sour diesel like smell that stings the nostrils with a touch of sweetness. Heavy producer. Requires little to no staking. A very maintenance free strain and a pleasure to grow.
3) GG#4 - Relatively small golf ball sized buds. My god were they dense, heavy, and potent though. 9 plants yielded 3# with 2 clones per 5 gallon bucket. Incredibly strong high and an out of this world flavor. Every single branch requires support / staking.

I almost listed Jager, because it's the most monstrously large plant I've ever grown and will most likely be the heaviest yielding plant I've ever grown. However she will consume your fucking life with maintenance. Tentacle branches stretch allover the place and every one will require staking and support. For those reasons I chose not to list Jager. She's just a nightmare to grow and becomes a second wife you desperately want a divorce from :)

Rosetta Stone. A nice mixture of easy to grow, fast flowering and nice thc percentage. The genetics were gifted to me by a dude named Sportster from Overgrow. Lost them a few years ago because of my divorce. Bros. Grim sells a line with the same name, but it sounds and looks nothing like what I grew.

An old school OG'er. Man that brings back some good memories. Then bad ones when the piece of shit federal government shut them down and seized their domain. What do you reckon those alphabet assholes do with all their free time these days now that they don't have low hanging fruit to constantly pick? Alphabet circle jerks! :)

OG was shut down by RCMP, fucking bastards. The good news is we all spread out over the net and formed dozens more learn to grow websites like this one.
I had no idea they were a Canadian outfit. Canadians are peaceful peoples. The RCMP most certaily acted at the behest of the US government. Another casualty of the American drug war. Marc Emery comes to mind thinking about what happened to Overgrow. And Tommy Chong. All that shit went down in the Busch era while we invaded a country that didn't attack us. Yeah, America was pretty confused for a stretch there. We just knew we needed to lock some people up and drop some bombs on some people somewhere far away. And dammit we got 'er done. What a shameful period in American history. Yet it pales in comparison to the Trump era.

it seems like my next strain is always my "new" favorite.

one i smoked but haven't grown is Super Silver Haze. back when I used to spend some time in Amsterdam.
Super silver haze is one I've got on my bucket list. That's one half of the Blue Dream genetics. The other half was Blue Berry from what I hear. The real magic in BD comes from the genetics in the SSH. The Blueberry was just for flavor and bulk. I'm a little jealous you've been to Amsterdam. I've wanted to go since I was in my teens reading high times magazine day dreaming about getting shit face wasted at a high times cannabis cup eating everything in sight for a week :)

They can't keep us down, brother. Just for lulz, OG and Heavens Stairway were owned by a guy named Richard Baghdalian. You know, to tie it into the war on Iraq
Cheech and Chong are touring next year, Overgrow is back in action, and Marc Emery is free. You're spot on. You can push a good person down, but you ain't keeping 'em down. I'll have to search Richard Baghdalian. I've never heard of him, but I'm no political aficionado either.

i used to work alot in germany back in the day. friday at 1 when the plant shut down, off to AMS in the rental car. this was like early 2000/late 90's. was single, had 2 company credit cards and 2.5 days. lol. if you ever get a chance, it's worth 2 or 3 days easy. awesome people, great beer, great weed, variety of every food you could think of. best walkable city anywhere.

back in the drug war 80's when i was in H.S. i never thought we'd be this close to national legalization. baby steps.
I remember tripping acid with my delinquent friends in the late 90's talking about, "man they can't just keep locking people up. man you know one day it's gotta be legalized." Thanks to the PTSD the drug war inflicted on me for half a lifetime I still get that "oh shit" panic when I see a cop and I've got a bunch of pot in the car. I never carry more than I'm legally allowed or anything like that, but I have a lot of difficulty getting use to the strange new world. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks :)

He's in wiki under Heavens Stairway. And I spelled it wrong. It's Baghdadlian. Looks like he's out of prison and owns a coffee shop in Montreal.

Blueberry is an 8-9 week strain. Combining a heavy producing, fast flowering, and great tasting indica was a genius move on the breeder's part. I only grew BD once about 10 years ago. Those ladies flowered for every bit of 10 weeks. Maybe even 11. It's been so long I can't remember exactly. I have never heard anything but good things about Germany. If I wasn't terrified of flying I'd love to visit, but this land mammal is staying grounded for life ;)

It's sick man. If you ever are up for a good movie about the tobacco industry checkout "The Insider." Al Pacino and Russel Crowe play the leading parts. It's based on a true story. Crowe plays the lead scientist for the tobacco company who lead the research on how to make cigarettes more addictive. "You put it in your mouth, light it up, and you get your fix. That's how it works." One of my favorite lines from the movie. The company fired him and became concerned that he would not honor his confidentiality agreement. They began threatening him and essentially ruined his life, but the story eventually did wind up on 60 minutes and light was brought to the disturbing nature of the situation.
