I'm voting for McCain....

Anybody seen last weeks south park about the President elect? It was very funny.
It seemed to be kind of a gimmick to see how much content they could cram into an episode the day before it aired. To be honest, I didn't really like it, although the Oceans 11/12/13/whatever references were pretty funny.

I thought it was great!, the 'arc' for the people that voted for McCain and Stan's dad " I thought it would be different, Obama lied to us", that quot was worth on watching the whole episode.

Anyone else see W, the new Oliver Stone flick?
It was real good, and surprisingly delicate about the Bush regime, which is really refreshing in a way. It's kinda nice to see it from a new perspective, Bush as an actual human being, with feelings no less! I'd recommend it for sure!

On a side note, it's much like a Lifetime movie, in that it's played up with ridiculously cheesy Hollywood moments, and superfluous plot developing fictional bits which can be really quite idiotic ... just thought I'd add that.

I don't know, I thought it cheapened the election. It seemed to portray everyone who was passionate about national politics as a bunch of retards. I mean, whether you're cynical about it or not, this election was a monumental one.

I know they have the right to make episodes about whatever they want, but I also have the right to not like them.

yes you do!

i love every sp episode...i can't help it, i love them all equally.lol.

anyone else see W? this is the perfect thread to do a review on the flick.lol

i thought we were going to let this one die...?

And where did they go wrong with that! It looked pretty realistic to me, most people looked like chickens with there heads cut off. Yes this was a point in history, but most of the masses are just as stupid as ever (the worst part is the masses that get a little info think their the next Einstein) , why else would the election be between a turd sandwich and a grant dush.

ps if you didn't know back when Bush stole hes second term that a democrat was going to win the next election, then you don't know much about politics or history.

because a president can only be in office for 8 years, or because the voting machines were of course rigged, and four more years of mulling over that thought, that we were cheated, and watching the country go to shit is enough to change anyone's opinion the next time around?

It's impressive how much of a margin Obama won by if you factor in how many votes dead people and prisoners must've put in for McCain- guess we just really didn't want 4 more years of the same, huh..

Uh huh, you must be thinking of ACORN, who registered dead people, dogs, cats, bart simpson, and felons to vote for Obama.

The elections in 2000 and 2004 were like that, where you had two unimpressive candidates to choose between. For a time, I thought that would be true this year too, if Hillary or Edwards got the nomination. But Barack Obama is an impressive man. I challenge you to read his autobiography, "Dreams from my Father." He wrote it at age 33, way before he was involved in politics. This guy has an intelligence and insight you don't see often in people, let alone presidential candidates.

That's what we all thought in 2004 too. Bush had low approval ratings, and it was already established that he invaded a foreign nation for reasons that turned out to be false. And yet he was reelected.

If a president is at war, they don't leave office; every president that has had a war stayed in office til their war was over! I dare you to check it out

Ps what was wrong with Mike Gravel...... are do you even know about him?

What I mean't to say was starts a war.
