I understand that some of the death threats election officials and others were receiving were Iranian in origin, but I don't know how credible it is, considering Trump is in power. Perhaps RIU needs to adjust to the new global digital reality, there is dangerous disinformation posted on this platform regularly. Anti vaccine propaganda and memes of Russian origin, though most of the tolls spewing it appear to be homegrown. Mask and vaccine disinformation are now being labeled or removed from major social media platforms in these extraordinary times.

Perhaps rename the politics section "social warfare"! The age of politics in American is in the past, liberal democrats can't play politics with fascism, they are either at you knees or at your throats. That's not an extreme view either, considering the last American election and the credible media reporting I've seen. Some of the right wing trolls have descended into madness.

Politics moves really fast, if were speaking directly about today and this thread, the people who posted similar words got banned, but they werent banned until we were able to get online

Im supposed to be off work today , and im not im sitting here dealing with this fucking thread I consider boxing day a holiday still but rollitup doesnt seem too.

I made a decision not to mod politics years ago and today here I am dealing with it.

I have been very vocal about the politics section being dealt with im not the only and final say when it comes to entire sections.

I understand what you are saying but those platforms are multi million dollar platforms who have endless amounts of technology available to them and AI systems that filter that shit,

We have 3 staff members who do all the moderation by hand.
You have to realize we are a much smaller website,We are not facebook, we dont make millions of dollars and have thousands of employees at our access to do such a thing

Were an old school forum. Our mods have to sleep, no matter how many we ask to volunteer their time they are still volunteers its still all manual and it isnt justthe front page of the forum thatgets worked on its the back end, its everything
