Flushing for too harvesting?

Hey guys,

Just got a question about top harvesting.

my indoor plants are nearly ready for harvest in about 2 weeks.

was wondering if anyone could shed more light on the flushing process of top harvesting?

shouldn I flush for 2 weeks then harvest the top nugs which are ready and start a light dose of nutes and keep the popcorn nugs growing for another 2 weeks and then flush again?

or should i just flush for a week, harvest the top buds and continue the flush while letting the popcorn nugs get some more time?

any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I’ve thought of that too, not flushing and just harvesting the top colas and then maybe flush the popcorn nugs.

but for some reason i still feel like I would like to give it a flush.

I don't flush at all, I've seen and followed the studies on and about flushing, from
what I have read its just a chosen trend to flush the studies and taste studies have
shown it changes nothing. I feed up till I take the last bud. That's just my preference.

Most here dont flush. In fact there are countless documentations showing that flushing only starves your plants at a crucial time. Flushing doesn't affect taste nor does it affect how clean the bud smokes.

If you feel the absolute need to flush I would suggest not flushing before taking the top buds. Do it for the popcorns if you must.

The reason I say this is 2 fold.

1 it will give you a clear understanding that it doesn't help from having both flushes and un flushed

2 you won't be jerking your plant around nutrients wise trying to flush and then reintroduce nutes for the rest.

I still suggest not flushing at all.

Most perpetual growers have tried every option in that never ending search for the holy grail....over the years, we've starved, drowned, and beat into submission, and are still in search of improving something. Some say we can, some say we never will, some say try anyway, regardless how jerky it seems.
It's a better waste of time getting growing parameters in check and will be much more fruitful than a herky jerky 'now and later' ....

Bro what media do you use? Soil? Rockwool? Coco? Dwc?
I grow in rockwool and i flush for 1 day, 6 hours with a flushing agent than 6 hours with pure water.
But If you know what you are doing you can achieve a "flush" without actually flushing at all......
According too Oaksterdam university the flush is simply the process of breaking down sugars and starches and the cure is just breaking down chlorophyll.
So with that being said you just gotta find a way too break down sugars and starches without depriving your plants of nutrients?
Tell me what media you are using and maybe i can help

I think the plants do all that.
