Electric will most definitely not dominate before you die, unless you live another hundred or more years. Even if all cars are electric, they’ve already used more oil than a gas car would in its lifetime. The electric car also uses what to charge it, again? Oh, yeah electricity from either coal, oil, or nuclear powered generators. Green technology is a farce, it all uses fossil fuel to make and run it all. It’s propaganda for the uninformed.Canada; build your own fucking refineries. Oil is a has-been, and this is just a grab for temporary profit. Electric cars will dominate before I die. Just wait for China and India to mass produce them, and they will.
I have a Jotul on my back patio. Made in Norway. Next to my propane generator. The Scandinavian countries have done some really good work on wood pellet stoves. They have forced air burn chambers to increase efficiency. There is a pellet mill in the Florida Panhandle, and if Port Panama City had not been closed after Micheal, that is were I could have sold my broken pine trees, as they use scrap wood to make the pellets.
this too.Of all things, you forgot hydropower
Electric damns.
That can be a pretty clean way to charge the electrical cars.
-naysayers always forget the cleanest one.
Remember that Chernobyl and Fukushima put off pollution that will last longer than we might. Chernobyl is thousands of years from being able to be properly inhabited again. They put off nuclear waste that was detected in California, that shit isn’t the future on any decent planet. It’s done more harm than good. There’s whole areas of the ocean that are unsafe due to submarine reactor leaks. You can’t actually sterilize or neutralize nuclear waste, or even pick it up like you can oil. If the BP disaster was nuke instead of oil, the big easy would be a dead ghost town. If you do complete research, with an open mind, you’ll see it’s really quite easy to punch huge holes in the viability of electrics based on what they really use, and nuke is a very dangerous alternative.nuclear energy is a much cleaner alternative than gas and oil. renwable? no. cleaner? yes.
nuclear, electric, wind, water, and solar are the future.
Hydro is extremely destructive to ecological systems, fish ladders are a bs diversion tactic. Dams fuck up the environment due to fish runs and animal migration routes. It’s actually one of the worst “green” technologies. That’s why dams are actually coming down all over, to return the ecology to where it’s supposed to be. You can’t call something that kills wildlife “green” or renewable.Of all things, you forgot hydropower

Did you read my post, two nuke tech disasters have more of the world off limits than all oil disasters combined.for reals though, nuclear energy is the most efficient and cleaner than all non renewable energy sources.
nothing in this world is perfect.Did you read my post, two nuke tech disasters have more of the world off limits than all oil disasters combined.
Propaganda bud. You can’t recycle nuke waste. That’s why the shit is stored all over the world in places people don’t go, because it’s so safe. There’s whole European countries that are in crisis over stored waste that was “safe and efficient” being detected in their water supply.nuclear energy is cost efficient, energy efficient, and can be recycled.
i shall consult my friend working in the nuclear industry then.Propaganda bud. You can’t recycle nuke waste. I’m starting to think you somehow have a dog in the nuke argument. You say safe, effective, efficient. I destroy those arguments with tangible facts, then you repeat safe, efficient, cheap. I do it again with a different fact set, and the reply is the same.
There’s your dog in the fight, lol. I knew there was one. You can’t get a straight answer from someone in the field, they have even more a dog in the fight. Nuke seems great...until you dig a bit.i shall consult my friend working in the nuclear industry then.
My whole point is green tech is at best a supplementary deal. Fossil fuel is still king, as unfortunate as it is. We’d all love something safe, renewable, and cheap...it just doesn’t exist yet.i can't imagine how many electrical and solar plants you would need to sustain the energy demand a high population area, such as new york city, needs.
The oilsands does not produce oil that would explode, it is too thick for that. The train that exploded in Quebec killing 50 people was transporting fracking oil from North Dakota. looking up North dakota, fracking , trains, get a fair amount of explosions and fires. TheI agree with you re the pipeline, I wouldn’t want it either, I’m thinking that just means it’ll get there another way, as I watch another rolling bomb go by.
The point is that American companies can buy raw materials from wherever they want and then sell it wherever they want. It is called free enterprise. To repeat, American companies owns some of the production in Alberta and it takes it to feed its American refineries (that are not built to refine fracking oil) that it then either uses for domestic consumption or sells it on the world market.exactly. let CA build a refinery (if they don't already have one on their left coast) and pipe that crap across their pristine landscape. and then sell it to china.
And we were wondering where we were going to put the Baby Boomers, needing to build more senior housing.hopefully covid will bring down human population enough so consumerism goes down and using non renewable energy for mass production wont be necessary anymore.
