I miss when political talk on grow forums was about legalization, and not about attacking the other party.
No shit. The Politics section is like a ghost town for me now though. I rarely ever see anything new pop up from there now.

I just went in and clicked ignore on the regulars that start new posts everyday. Now it's a much nicer place. Every once in awhile I'll have to add someone new, but it's not bad at all now.

I didn't even know there was a Political section when I joined and ended up there. My first comment was that I don't think a weed forum is the place for politics. Well that's all it took for them to come out and start attacking me.

For the most part I see solid advice outside of the classic flush/defoliate/LED-vs?? type threads which are usually started by the same guys every few months. Every once in a while there is some extremely poor advice that people will destroy people over, but that's life. Personally what I see a lot of which drives me nuts is when somebody asks a questions, gets a solid answer and is like, "anybody else?" Too many cooks sometimes.

What kills me is the disco colored pics and a “ what is goin on with my plant ? “ question ......
Or
What light should I buy ? ..... for under a $100 bucks cause old lady will trip out .
Or
“ My friend “ gave me his plants , what’s wrong with them ?

I have begun to just say , lurk info on basic gardening skills ..... go grow a fucking houseplant . See if you can keep it alive.
All advice , opinions, and assorted responses should be taken with a grain of salt . I would think some noobs would see the “ consensus “ in certain responses and start from there ..... but many OPs are banned / sock accounts that got their “ feelwings “
hurt or their man bun got twisted and decide they know more than commenters. I have bowed out of plenty of shit shows because OP still argues points and rely on cut / paste google articles instead of researching issues that happen to many plants not just cannabis.

Now I just say add piss / about a pound / more calmag / flush with Clorox.

I just did something I told myself I would keep from doing. That was to reply to a polarizing, political or socially decisive thread.
Why I want to debate with a bunch of other stoners across the globe about any shitshow of our world theatre going on right now is besides me.
I came here for the peace and calm of growing cannibas.

Most of the trolls and problems with this forum posted in this thread. You know who you are.

Here's the deal. A good grower has had every issue there is. Pests, nutrient lockout, humidity, lighting, airflow. You name it. To run into all these issues you will need multiple grows obviously. Like someone else has said we get a lot of "growers" with 1 or 2 grows under their belt that now know everything. Not to mention experienced growers have tried multiple different styles. Dwc, rdwc, coco, soil, organic soil. All these styles have a learning curve. Also no 2 strains grow the same in any way. Nutrient needs, growth structure, lighting requirements, temp etc. You need to be able to identify problems correctly and fix it quickly and properly. Bottom line is you need multiple grows in different styles and mediums. You need to run into issues and know how to correct them to save your harvest. This only comes with time and Growing!! No shortcuts ladies and gentlemen reguardless of what the internet told you.

I’m starting to see a lot of threads turning into a place of debate. Don’t get me wrong, there is a difference between right and wrong, and good and bad advice. But it seems like even good advice isn’t good enough anymore, and there’s always someone that thinks the good advice stinks, and their way of doing things is better. I thought this was a community of growers attempting to help others get where they are now. Offering help and the ability to skip the trial and tribulations that come with growing as a beginner through their experience. I sometimes find myself not wanting to comment or offer advice because it will be scrutinized or flat out told it’s wrong. Like I said, there’s good and bad advice, there’s definitely right and wrong ways of doing things, but when the debates start to take over the reason the thread was created in the first place, it kind of leaves a bad impression about who we are here, and what we’re trying to accomplish as a community of nice, pleasant, educated growers which I believe 100% of you are. What’s your thoughts.....
I see you’re relatively new here.
