Its in a rapid rooter in a net pot with hydroton. I use tap water filtered tap water about 80ppm. The gff is liquid. Its like something isn't dissolved but I don't use anything that should do that wondering if the bennies just ain't alive or somethingNo experience with bennies, I run near sterile. What medium? Water source? Is gff a powder? I'm on my 9th or 10th run DWC the only thing I've had that looked like coffee grounds was when some coir dropped through the net pot.

I washed hydroton pretty well I think I usually over do stuff. I use gh trio and always go calmag then micro then grow then bloom i stir after adding each plus let the air stone help mix b4 adding next one then ph then bennies last. The only difference between this grow and last is its winter now so water is colder. Its either hydroton if you didn't wash well enough
Or "fall-out" of nutrient solution.
This naturally can happen alittle, but can be cause by mixing concentrates, not stirring well enough between adding different nutes, or adding them in the wrong order.
I'm gonna try and get some for youCan you strain some of it out? Visual aids are big help. I wouldn't think that, if the bennies died, they would collect into little grains... but again no experience. @Destroyer of chairs almost lost his girls because of hydroguard in DWC. He went coir and his girls recovered beautifully.
I would rather say I almost lost my ladies cause of piss poor performance on my part, neglecting their needs cause I were overwhelmed at the very least blame dwc not hydroguard which I'm pretty sure made them hang on long enough for me to transplant to coir :'DCan you strain some of it out? Bennies saved my 3 girls on last grow. So this fall out thing is something I'm gonna have to research. I'm only doing one plant this timeI would rather say I almost lost my ladies cause of piss poor performance on my part, neglecting their needs cause I were overwhelmed at the very least blame dwc not hydroguard which I'm pretty sure made them hang on long enough for me to transplant to coir :'D
Don't think that "grain" is bennies though. Money on hydroton or fall out from solution.
Might also just be the dust from the hydroton as mentioned. A pic can say more than a thousand words though.Bennies saved my 3 girls on last grow. So this fall out thing is something I'm gonna have to research. I'm only doing one plant this time
So far I'm reading that any sediment from particulate in nutes should be inert and not hurt and could be from water temp fluctuations. I usually use cool water from tap but it gets colder as time goes on so wonder if thats it. Plant seems fine roots are growing like crazyBennies saved my 3 girls on last grow. Oh yeah, the particulate shouldn't hurt anything. So far I'm reading that any sediment from particulate in nutes should be inert and not hurt and could be from water temp fluctuations. Yeah, its salt build up from nutrient water wicking up.Anyone get white substance on their hydroton rocks?
I'm still a noob this is 2nd grow and not sure what NER means lol sorryMaybe not going to hurt ur plants directly but watch out for NER getting all fckd up.
how much gff are you using? after i mix mine in, res is still clear as can beI re rinsed the hydroton and caught all the rinse water in a bucket it was crystal clear maybe its alge im doing rez change this evening and not gonna use the gff since the water is cold right now and see if it happens again. Probably uses some h202 to clean everything
I mix it 20:1 then 1ml per gal so 10ml. That's how I did all last grow and water was always clean and clearhow much gff are you using? after i mix mine in, res is still clear as can be
