I like your blue anodized valve stem caps. How fast did you go?Just took the ebike for a very short spin. She's alive! I still need to tidy up some wiring and play with the PAS but I'm gaining. And damn is it cold out there!View attachment 4822243View attachment 4822244
since most of your stopping power comes from your front brake, what about doing some upgrades?Just a little over 20 mph...but that wasn't top speed. The blue caps came with the bike...But for a cheap bike I like it. What surprised me was it came right up my steep driveway with throttle only.
You were so right though...the brakes are scary!! I'll probably limit the speed to like 20 mph on the controller. Can't add rear discs to this. I'm not sure how practical this thing is but it could be fun on a hot day, I am hoping!!

It looks like that's a 160mm rotor. You could put a 40mm adaptor and run a 200mm rotor, add a four piston hydraulic brake and you'll have good stopping power and modulation.
I found they do make all kinds of conversion stuff, and they DO have the hydraulic brake conversions for e-bikes with the built in shut off....I could even convert the back brakes to disc...It might be more practical to just get a better bike though, IDK.since most of your stopping power comes from your front brake, what about doing some upgrades?

I just watched a couple of YouTube videos, and I probably can't upgrade to 200 mm front rotors due to my cheap forks but I could 180's and with hydraulic that would make a big difference.fat bikes are a lot of fun. The dolomite bike that @Metasynth bought might be a good option for not too much money, it has front and rear mechanical disc brakes.
I would avoid the disc conversion on the rear unless the mount is built into the frame. The seatstay likely wasn't designed to handle the brake torque.
Perfect! And it will probably be a lot cheaper than buying a new bike. Once covid is over I wouldn't mind playing around with ebikes.I just watched a couple of YouTube videos, and I probably can't upgrade to 200 mm front rotors due to my cheap forks but I could 180's and with hydraulic that would make a big difference.
I watched one where the guy did a ton of different comparisons, and that was real good.
Recipe for road rash right there lol better get it on video!Perfect! And it will probably be a lot cheaper than buying a new bike. Once covid is over I wouldn't mind playing around with ebikes.
I think it would be hilarious to get an old fashioned pink banana seat bike with coaster brakes and streamers one the handle bars. Slap a 1000W motor on it and bomb around.

I wish they still made bikes like that. That’s my bike!
I'll wear a helmet. I survived horseshoe valley on cantilevers in the rain. Not my picRecipe for road rash right there lol better get it on video!
They don’t make shit like they used toI wish they still made bikes like that.
Put the dash cam on your helmet please lolI'll wear a helmet. I survived horseshoe valley on cantilevers in the rain. Not my pic
Those were great, and that was my 1st bike only in gold color I think. I remember when I was about 10 I was wrestling with the neighbor boy, threw him onto his bike and he gashed his leg open pretty good on the chain guard and had a bunch of stitches...we both went screaming home, and I recell telling my mom we were going to be sued....lol. we weren't.Perfect! That's how we did it in the 90's.....on hardtailsI'll wear a helmet. I survived horseshoe valley on cantilevers in the rain. Not my pic
I have a gopro session. Can you reverse search a videos on google? I have a funny video from blue mountains where I cased a landing on a gap, went over the bars and knocked the wind out of myself.... I thought I was dying.Put the dash cam on your helmet please lol
how fast can you go with 500watts? I wouldn't mind being able to do 50kph.Those were great, and that was my 1st bike only in gold color I think.
