Praying leaves

So, I guess I should start but saying I don't really know if this is a problem. However my cannopy leaves seam to be "praying" to the light. They seem to be pointing up rather than out. Is this good/bad/indifferent. Also, on a different note, my canopy leaves seem to be developing red stems. I read that if the stems are green in the shade its just a result of light intensity. Is this true. Any and all insight will be appreciated thank you.

Compare current light distance from canopy to manufacturer's suggested distance.

Gotta take pics in light that can help us see something too, brotha.

praying leaves is not a problem. plants will always orient their leaves so their chloroplasts are perpendicular to the beam of highest radiant intensity. its called phototropism. however the leaves being cut off like that is not normal. are you cutting the leaves? do you have a cat? also the plants look overfed but its hard to tell in the purple light. other than that they look good!

So I keep the leaves trimmed back once they hit like 4 to 5 inches to help with light distribution. Also this is about week 3 of flower so I've yet to hit the 4,5,6 bud growth spurt.

it doesn't look overfed in the normal light, it looks good. I would probably stop trimming the leaves like that though. think of the plant as a living thing. open wounds allow contaminants and infections to get in. If you want to defoliate you're better off using a clean sharp tool and removing the whole leaf at the stem. everything looks normal though. keep it up.

So I will add that I added a bit more p and k to my nutrient solution and then fed the plant today so I will post pics in a couple days to update on the red stem issue if they don't go away I would guess its either a sign of vigorous healthy growth or light intensity.

Also defoliation in flower, go light. The plant uses energy, that could be used towards flower instead of healing wounds.
