It's that and to protect union jobs. If the lines are run underground you can get rid of 80% of the unionized electrician workforce, trucks and related equipment that goes along with it.I’m not 100% I would assume cost and access for repairs or replacement
I don’t agree with that. It's that and to protect union jobs. If the lines are run underground you can get rid of 80% of the unionized electrician workforce, trucks and related equipment that goes along with it.
Efficiency costs jobs. That's why we're the most inefficient nation on earth.
Maybe they can’t figure out which way to turn it?Maybe Texans think water shutoff valves are a way for big government to control people and don't install them, maga.
It isn't just TexasHow are these people too stupid to turn the water off.
Nearly 50% of Europe's power lines are underground. It's not hard at all to do.I don’t agree with that.
Here’s some more info on it. Drilling new lines in, having access to repair, etc. but here’s a main reason
Electricity wires are, by their nature, very warm, as they’re channeling currents to and fro. In the open air, this heat can dissipate, but deep in the soil it can’t. That’s why utilities wrapped their underground wires in plastic and surround them with a conduit like oil to keep things from overheating.
It’s not hard but it would be expensive. Not worth the cost IMO.Nearly 50% of Europe's power lines are underground. It's not hard at all to do.
That's the entire point:It’s not hard but it would be expensive. Not worth the cost IMO.
So we agree? But it's not worth the costs.
... while i sip margaritas in Cancun!!! they get what they voted for.
No, we don't agree. So we agree?
No one is going to pay to bury lines underground that are functioning perfectly fine above ground.
When they feel it is profitable, it will happen.
There are large areas of Texas where the bedrock is near the surface, tough digging. It’s not hard but it would be expensive. Not worth the cost IMO.
that guy is such a piece of shit..where's your bullhorn now? After blizzard of criticism over Mexico trip, Senator Ted Cruz flies back to frozen Texas
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz flew into a storm of criticism on Thursday after leaving his home state of Texas in the grip of a deadly deep freeze, for a family holiday jaunt to the Mexican resort of Cancun he said he took to please his young daughters.
