Help with lighting

Okay. Given all the amazing advice I've gotten from this forum, in the past, I'm going with what you guys suggest. I've ordered the light from Walmart. Given the size restrictions, do I need to keep the lights, dimmed? Should I set it as high away from the plants as possible?

The first is a 1000W and the second is 600W.

Those are crap, old obsolete tech known as blurple and they aren't anywhere near 1000 watts, that's pure marketing BS. Hard to say about the first one, they don't state the actual wattage.

Who knows about the second, that amazon link says "Growstar S 600W LED grow light can replace traditional 300 watt HPS/MH grow lamp while consuming only 250 watts!

Another amazon listing for the same light says "Growstar S600W LED grow light can replace traditional 600 watt HPS/MH grow lamp while consuming only 140 watts!

The only thing we know is they say it's 110 watts, zero info on light output. Depending on a lights efficacy, 30-40 watts per square foot is common for flowering. Your 2x3 is 6 square feet so you should have a minimum of 180 watts for flower.

Oh...I thought it was 1000W. That's the claim, anyway. Geeze...I hope I didn't just buy a bad one? I already own one of those. lol.

Well, I just checked my existing light. It's input is 19 Watts. It's the light I used to grow the last plant and I got 14.5 grams from it. So...100 Watts will be a HUGE improvement, even if it's not "top notch" so to speak.

Thanks all for your help. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Are you saying that there is an issue with this one? As I said, I know it's crappy, that's why I'm replacing it. But I did get 14.5 grams of the final plant. I just had it in flower for longer than expected. In the end, I'm hoping that the 100W will produce a higher yield than the 19W did. But, it was my first successful grow so I have no idea how much is normal for a plant to produce. Is the issue that 14.5 grams is a lot and there is no way 19W should have done that or are you making fun of the fact that I used 19W and only got 14.5 grams so it was a waste?
