I have been growing under 1000 watts HPS for my last 2 runs right now i have 3 nice plants vegging under it right now I would like to make the switch to something equivelant under 500 bucks is there any lights worth a darn for that price for flowering?
HLG qb96 get three of them and a hlg 320h 54b driver. You can make a light equal to a 600hps for roughly 275 a pop if you use RIU10 at checkout on HLGs website. Make sure to get the light heat sink combo

Ya I get that but all you are getting is 3000K or 3500K spectrum. Other companies provide different kinds of diodes in their light like deep reds, IR, UV and still come out more efficient.

anyway I've seen great grows with timbers like I said. But I don't see the point in buying something that cost the same,is less efficient, takes more room, 2 years less warranty and can be built at home for half the price.

enjoy your lights man I am sure you grow amazing weed.
I'm still growing mids. And less efficiently.

Hey there. New member here. I have Gavita 1700E, 1000 pro DE and CT1930. Love all of them. If your ceiling is under 10 feet I’d go with 1700e. With 3316 diodes, Samsung lm301b and Osram high intensity and Philips drivers its a best LED light if you can afford it. And I’m sure after one harvest you can. The plants look more vigorous and buds are super dense. You can literally break windows with the buds. Humidity is a bit higher so you’d need a better humidifier. However, it runs cool so your HVAC system will love it. I get about 3-3.5/lbs per light depending on the strain. It’s totally worth every penny. It only covers about 4x4 though with 6-12” above canopy. To get to 5x5 coverage you might have to raise it to 16-24”. LED are not DEs so getting cheaper lights are not really your best bet in my opinion

I am always so impressed that other people can pull 3-4lbs off one 1000W hid or any light. Cuz I am happy with about half that yield.

But then again I have yet to see a single picture of these 3-4lbs a light grows soooo.......

Except for the vertical farmers I believe it when they say it.

Honestly, I was just simply stating about the LED light that I use. I don’t see a point why would someone lie about weight they pull. It’s not like a work for Gavita. ROI -720 I heard is not a bad light either. I don’t really care if someone believes it or not. Recommending a light from my personal experience.

3.5 out of a 4x4 is pretty damn impressive.

Maybe he's just praising you and would love to see pics?

I know I would.
