Dude get a carbon filter.. so during this pandemic I didn't hook mine up for a flowering cycle... I'm here all the time no one goes anywhere and he'll I fisnf even notice it... well noise blind IS a thing... my step daughter went to a Dr's apt... they called and said she smelled like weed so badly they had to spray the waiting room... needless to say I hooked my filter up immediately and bought another 6 inch fan and filter to hook up since I am expanding. Never again will I let something like that happen. Also your type of filter matters... always go with phresh filters!

So, maybe I need a contingency plan.
Maybe I have to think about transferring to a grow tent prior to flowering beginning, as it's the smell that I was mostly bothered about when I first looked into this some weeks ago.
It's odd, have read about window / indoor sunshine grows that don't produce much smell. Maybe only one or two plants though...

Bite the bullet and set up a closet/tent with a carbon filter or find a secluded spot outdoors for free.
If your going to break the law, you might as well lessen your risk of being caught.

So your plan now is to grow three hairy twiglets on a windowsill, then spend the money anyway so you can harvest half a spliff?
Just buy it up front and use it. It'll pay for itself on the first grow, if you start listening to the advice you ask for that is...

Yeah this is kind of why I wondered if I should fret about this.
Even with a strain that can handle "northern" climes, will it produce much bud anyway? These are autos so I'm assuming they'll flower at some point, but maybe not as soon as the seedbank claims.
Dunno, on the one hand I've read about reasonably successful window grows, but also a few that produced next to nothing. On the other I have people screaming get a tent or the neighbours will be complaining/reporting me in a months time...
Should I really worry about this?

Worry about it yes. If it’s not legal to grow it’s often a felony to cultivate even if minor possession is a misdemeanor.

So maybe trying to grow three plants at once was not the best plan regarding odour control.
I'm going to investigate building a budget micro grow cabinet and try and put two plants in there once they're at the vegetative phase, certainly before any flowering starts. I've god some wood panels, LED lights, and so on - just need a fan and filter. Might keep the runt of the litter on the window sill and see what happens, if anything.

I'm gonna guess that you don't live in a "northern climate" like the OP? I think one of the main problems would be humidity because IDK exactly where OP is but here the humidity is either super low in the winter or super high in the summer. Same with temperatures. So unless you have the right equipment it might make it a bit difficult to not stress out the plants.

well that depends on what you consider as a northern climate.....these grows are from Vancouver Canada....not sure if the OP is more or less northern

You could always grow out a strain like freak show or ABC Australian Bastard Cannabis. They look nothing like regular cannabis plants. Also you could pick a strain that does not smell much like northern lights. Gives gives me the idea of crossing ABC to northern lights! That would be an epic cross for apartments
