Hi,
I'm starting my first grow room with a single plant.
I need help in choosing some of the components.

I already choosed these ones:

For cultivation, fertilizing, oxigenation and water balancing:
As box:
For the seed I choosed an autoflower like this one
- https://www.royalqueenseeds.it/semi-autofiorenti/544-watermelon-automatic.html

Now my question:

For lighting I'm not sure between the following options (or other ?) and any advice will be welcome
- https://www.lumeri.it/lumeri-sq300.html
- https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B08PBX2G93/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_4?smid=A384W4MLFKHIBB&psc=1

Now I'm wondering if I will also need a fan cooling system and wich one ...

At the moment I really don't know if I will need also a temperature and humidity control system inside the room and how to choose one...

Thx for any comment/advice/tip...

J.

i would first of all choose a photoperiodic plant. The main reason being that if you make one mistake with an auto you will loose almost all of your yield because it may start flowering instantly.

For your light it depends on your budget but those seems to me like poor choice, the first one is only 65 watts and the second one only 40w. You need at very least 100w. If led is too expensive you can choose a Hps and it will do well.

Starting in dwc might be a challenge too especially for first time.

If you can grow a healthy plant from seed to harvest in soil. Repeatedly. Then you can try hydro. Consider hydro an advanced technique. Meaning it's a huge PITA until you get the hang of it. That's only if, if you have learned the skills to grow a plant in the basic way, first. Dirt.

Temperature and humidity controls by Inkbird. Buy on Amazon or eBay. I bought direct from their website. Freaked me out when I get an email that X had been paid to 吃屎. But they were shipped from Kentucky. Arrived no problem and are Heaven sent. Highly recommended.

SECOND!!

Short and sweet coz I don't wanna jack this guys thread...when I see a deity put a seed in some rock wool and dump a bunch of chemicals on it, I might try hydro. What's so wrong with soil? Ask any deity they'll tell ya..."I gave you soil now use it." SHEEESH!

To the OP...before you commit anymore of your hard earned I would like to suggest reading through several of these forums newbie central, tent design, equipment, general growing etc. Then make purchases based on budget and best choice. If you still choose to do hydro instead of soil it's all good. But then you'll have more knowledge on how to cultivate. Best of luck to you and yours.

Super Soil and water. 3-5 gallon pot. Plastic or fabric. The most basic and easiest method. I cut my teeth on home mixed super soil. AK48.

Then people started calling good weed, "Hydro", "Dro".

After that, hydro became more mainstream. Lots more work and more stuff to make or buy.

Thanks for your comments guys. I went to hydro because I feel more like a chemist than a farmer. I studied a lot and I feel ready, but for me is still the first experience and I can fail for sure. But I not worry of that: any failure can show the new way to the success.. If I will fail I will try again and again.
Thx for any advice that can help me NOT to fail :)

When I decided I was going to cultivate medicine I also decided to do it right. I went to the internet to learn about what I intended to do. I watched hour upon hour of YouTube videos. That was very informative but as I came closer to pulling the trigger I wanted to consult with others who had been there before me. I found this forum and a lot of friendly people with great ideas and experience. I spent countless hours, reading and learning. 2 months after deciding to grow I bought all my equipment and my first beans. I used FFHF and the recipe for success nutes from TechnaFlora. I kept it simple...very simple. If I had issues I had an open forum of other folks to help.

This was the results of my first grow... 1st harvest (2).jpg almost 1/4# dry. Seeing as I grow totally for personal needs it was definitely more than I needed until I got to my 2nd harvest which got me about 1 1/2 zips more.

Honestly, I would stick to the EASIEST, most foolproof method of growing for your first grow. Both hydro and organic/living soil/supersoils are more advanced techniques that a lot of people mess up their first grow. I'd get some high quality potting soil and grow with Maxibloom https://www.icmag.com/forum/marijuana-growing/nutrients-and-fertilizers/189616-the-k-i-s-s-method?t=191645

You won't even need Cal/mag with Maxi, in most cases. All you have to do then is practice watering, practice testing your PH/TDS, and watch fat buds develop.

I can assure you the tent is good i have a 80x80x180cm tent from them i was sceptical because of the price but gave them a chance since the shipping was from Germany and i can say it held up in high humidity , high temps and the stitching is on point no tears . I only have one or 2 micro holes which you can barely see but that was my mistake. As of starting growing DWC etc i cant help you there but as beehive mentiond if you can grow a healthy plant in soil repeatedly then id up the growing method. Also as mentiond id go with a photoperiod plant since if you stress an auto bye bye a % of yield . Since ur growing one plant id prefer going photo. Good luck in grows hope to see some journals from you :)

i recommend too, a good quality soil and plain nutrients will do the trick.

i just saw the size of your tent, you should probably go with a 150w hps but i dont know how available they are in Italy

two quick things.
-always go with several seeds. one can and always will be a dud or wimpy etc. it is a natural plant. you may pick from the best to move forward.
-Going hydro without any plant growing experience is plum nuts out the gate. sorry, I get straight to the point.

lastly ok 3rd read a bunch here on anything you can. successes and failures. Read x 6 isn't enough. take notes. I had a multipage note pad full of stuff at the beginning. enjoy and except tips from experienced as many enjoy paying forward.

Buy houseplants. Because if you can't keep a houseplant healthy. No need trying to grow cannabis in a synthetic environment. Chemistry is valued in the fert department. It's that line of work that's given us some amazing fertilizer.

The category of 'Grower' is a different field.

Expect years before things click. It's a living thing. Complicated AF.

Is this a good setup? I got Behind the circle a tab bit because one plant is a month in front of the other plants..so I'm trying to maximize the space I have available....20210315_064044.jpg

I'm trying to pull everything in the direction of the open space.....I only have a 2x4 tent and I'm using about 2 1/2 by 2 current with 300w of LED in this area and another 100W LED (this is actual draw...the label claims this is 4000w of power:-) ) for the other 1 and 1/2 x2 my math might be off but i have 400W actual draw LED for 2x4 tent...here's a wide angle pic of my tent a few days ago20210314_194049.jpg
I'm going to Veg for about two more weeks and then flower...I was hoping to get the plants higher then the AC which is 16 inches above them and then use my scrog net....My girls trained AF.....maybe too much but that's for another day.... Check out my grow Journal guys give me some tips please!!! It's in my signature...first time grower...anyways...yea ..Holla

These are the only two I have personal experience with so take it for what you like. I started my first grow with the first link and now I use the second link for flower and the first one for veg. That Aogled light is a great value light for a couple plants. Also it has a really strong fan if you are still waiting on other stuff. My plant seems to be loving the Phlizon light but it does create a lot of heat.
