Honestly, I know absolutely nothing about the 225 specs or if it’s Dimmable or not. I shoot for 35w per sq ft. Will do, keep me updated with your grow

Yes its dimmable. It has the adjustment/dimmer on the bottom of the ballast. There is a hole in the aluminum plate to access it easier.
I've heard so much conflicting views on LED sets. Some say that a 100-150w will be fine for a 2x2. And others say you need much more power.
I spoke with an established grower on IG and he recommended one of the HLG 350R's. The light was out of my price range nearly $570. He also said the 65 and the 100 would probably work but flowering would suffer.
I think I made the right choice. Better to have dimmable extra power than not enough.

2x2 grow tent arrived early! Came in yesterday afternoon. Wasnt able to open it due to dinner plans.. Will unbox tonight once the light comes in.

I'll also post pics of my Purple Sponge seedling and set up. The Chick Magnet (Sativa) is still a seed lol. Hope she pops up in the next couple days.

Here are a few pics of my girls.
Ones a fem. The tiny seedling in the pot/bag. Chick Magnet, she popped up almost overnight from the last time I checked on her. I feel like she's gonna be a fast grower.
The other is a regular. Don't know the sex yet. Hoping for a girl!

The chick magnet is pretty centered.
The Purple Sponge seemed to grow that way. I was trying to bring the seed up closer to the surface (should have left it). The seed popped up above the soil and the taproot was doing its thing. I overwatered her a lot at first, so I thought it best to let her do her thing.. (with much less water, helped A TON) Once I transplant I will offset the hole and make sure its centered in the 3 gallon.
I'll make sure both are dead center once I replant them.

Grow tent and light are set up.

Just watered the purple sponge (larger seedling).
Chick Magnet is still doing well. Seems very dark green. But I just changed the lights to the new one last night. Still has plenty of water in that soil.

The seedlings are definitely liking the new light!
I'm running about 30% power.
The only thing I don't like is the adjustment screw is SUPER sensitive. Have to be super super careful on the adjustments.
Looks like the Purple Sponge is reaching up to the light. Those leaves look HAPPY!!
Chick magnet is looking good too!
She is starting to reach with her leaves. I will add more soil around her base tonight.

A little more progress.
Seems like the chick magnet is a slow grower. But the leaves are pretty big!!!
Watered her yesterday morning.
I'll check the purple sponge again tonight. If it needs water I will water tomorrow morning.

Replanted the Purple sponge and added pearlite.
Felt super risky. Saw a few roots at the bottom. The added pearlite will help the water drain better. Planted her centered.
I apologized to her profusely after.
Fingers crossed that she pulls through.
Watered the Chick magnet a few days ago....and damn she didn't like that!!! Gonna let her dry out a lot. These genetics don't like much water at all.

Soooo....
The purple sponge loved the semi transplant with added perlite. Wow.
This is from last night. She looks even a bit bigger today. I'm going to start training her( hope its a her) tonight.

This girl is growing fast.
What I have noticed is, she will turn upright after the whole day. Nearly growing to vertical again! From 6:30 am to about 6 pm you can clearly see the difference.

Thanks. So far they seem to really like the light!!
The added heat is a bonus. I guess the pupil genetics love the heat. Tent was about 90 yesterday when I got home.

I'm on my first grow...I trained the shit out of my plants...like weighed them down with weights till the stems were 90 degrees and topped and topped and topped...See how thick my stem is, but it's growing so low the base is through the rockwool right where the soil starts. It's my first grow but I was over paranoid about height....I managed to get everything the same height...should be a decent harvest...I only have 6 square feet and 4 feet ceiling

I'm also worried about height. I have a 4ft tent. And the light is probably at 3 is feet. I'll be training as much as I can. I'm going to try not to top. But I'll see how she goes.

She's looking good after a slight over watering. Day 2 after the watering and those leaves are starting to pray upwards.
Chick magnet seedling is looking good as well. Bottom 2 pics.
Tent Temps have been very high. Pushing 90 to 91. But the girls are loving it!!
