Six months after opening is what I read somewherei don't bother watering it down: my bottle lasts about a year.
while we're talking about it though, have you ever heard/read if it expires at some point once the seal is broken?
I've heard so many different ratios and I scared to hurt her. I'm doing a rez change tonight and I'm gonna fill it up full (13gal.) And start with .13 and check free chlorine and ppms and try to get about 2ppm.I've been sprinkling .02 grams per gallon of pool shock into my res every 3 days. My res is in my grow room so it stays 80+ degrees F. The pool shock has worked like a charm.
I use household bleach with no problem (as long as I do not over do it).Household bleach is sodium hypochlorite, you want calcium hypochlorite as sodium can cause lockout.
If shock doesnt work for you, in tap water, it might be worth the expense instead of using RO.I'd like to hear from someone that has used UCroots then tried shock and get their opinion. Anyone used both?
I had issues this run, I used ucroots, shock and peroxide. Uc roots and shock had no results in my scenario, peroxide has my vote. If I had no contamination and wanted to run preventative, I would run low dose uc roots or shock, if problems arises, 29-35% peroxide. I have had problem while using roots or shock, not the case with peroxide.I'd like to hear from someone that has used UCroots then tried shock and get their opinion. Anyone used both?
I'm pretty sure you can run kelp extract (organic compound) in a sterile res without issues.Same shit with AN. They say it is not organic...but it has organic compounds in it. So if you try to run it in a sterile res...womp womp problems.
First I heard of the above claim, regardless, plants are loving fnb sterile right now.I'm pretty sure you can run kelp extract (organic compound) in a sterile res without issues.
Why do you believe that a sterile res would be an issue for kelp extracts? Fulvic acids are also organic, and I believe should also not be an issue in a sterile res. Is it your belief that micro organisms are necessary for the plant to intake the naturally occurring hormones and micro nutes in kelp extracts?First I heard of the above claim, regardless, plants are loving fnb sterile right now.
Sorry I meant the comment above yours, I’m running floranova sterile. Why do you believe that a sterile res would be an issue for kelp extracts? Not saying you can't. I just personally had poor results with anything that had organics at all.I'm pretty sure you can run kelp extract (organic compound) in a sterile res without issues.
I haven’t run jacks yet myself but it’s something I should prob try out one of these time’s.Not saying you can't. I just personally had poor results with anything that had organics at all.
Honestly I may just have to much light and that was my issue.
Running jacks now and things are going good.
pretty sure fnb claim to fame is just humic acids (brown sludge like stuff lol) which peroxide "shouldn't" do anything to. i'm not positive but i think i ran fnb iwth pool shockFirst I heard of the above claim, regardless, plants are loving fnb sterile right now.
I have to take a peak at those acids, I used big bud last time with the trio, see if I need it again, it’s pretty much show time. Fnb is such a odd ball with it’s liquid solid thing it’s got going. I haven’t seen any reactions, I notice a smell after I dose peroxide in the room.pretty sure fnb claim to fame is just humic acids (brown sludge like stuff lol) which peroxide "shouldn't" do anything to. i'm not positive but i think i ran fnb iwth pool shock
Yes, it lists sulphur at 2%.does the fnb have sulfur? i don't remember
