i'm not so sure. looking back at pic 2, it looks like the new growth is showing tip burn too.eah I see a little nute burn, less worried about that
Yeah you're right about that. Real high PPM source water could do that too even with 1/2 strength nutes.i'm not so sure. looking back at pic 2, it looks like the new growth is showing tip burn too.
Yeah her roots look great to me.... PPM is at 278.Yeah you're right about that. Real high PPM source water could do that too even with 1/2 strength nutes.
Wish her uppers looked as good as her roots.
Calcium deficiency is what I thought at first, which is why I am using Cal Mag (2.5ML per gallon)you'll need a microscope to see mites.
and you switched back to FF nutes right?
looks like Ca deficiency to me (rust spots)
Cal Mag is Botanicare, worked well on my last grow. I got my 2.5ml/gal dosage from a youtube video of an autoflowering grow schedule. Dude seemed pretty legit and again it worked on my last grow.PPM of 278 isn't gonna burn her so that's not it. You say Cal Mag; what brand? I don't know what difference it makes though as 2.5 ml/gal should be enough for a photoperiod plant so lots for an auto.
Temps; what are your solution temps and what's your change-out schedule like. I doubt either are bad since your roots are good but looking for info. You get a chance to look through that link and see if any pics are close? I'd do it but it's a long link, but there's good info in it.
your eyes must be better than mine. if you don't see any webs at all, you're probably fine.I have had spider mites in the past which were easy to see with the naked eye, the mites you are talking about are that much smaller?
No my first grow I kept the ph between 5.5-6.0. I always had a small amount of nute burn but it turned out fine. You had a PH of 6-6.5 in the first grow and dropped to 5.5-6 in this one right? That first grow get as burnt looking as this one or did it do better. It looks better in the pics but did it get worse?
I still use that link for reference as a double check even if I think I'm certain!Hey @tehcheese10 do you have a PPM meter? What's your water supply like for PPM?
This link is pretty big, maybe you can find a pic close to your plant https://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-symptoms
I just found that link; it's got lots of great pics, I like it.I still use that link for reference as a double check even if I think I'm certain!
Yeah I was kind of reaching for straws with that one. I had a thought last night about this post. Is it possible your plants are nutrient hungry? Distilled water and a PPM of 278 isn't much for nutes. No my first grow I kept the ph between 5.5-6.0. I always had a small amount of nute burn but it turned out fine.
Possibly, only thought as to why that isn't the case is I have been having this problem since around day 5 or 6. Also while the PPM is currently around 250, at the time of the flush I believe it was closer to 350.Yeah I was kind of reaching for straws with that one. I had a thought last night about this post. Here's my two cents. There's no need to use "Calmag" with a complete plant food in hydro. I've been running Dyna Gro for years. Only reason to add "Calmag" is if you're growing in coir to combat the natural leaching of calcium and magnesium by the medium.Hi everyone,
My autoflowering plant is about 9 days old and a few days ago I started to notice some of these spots. On a previous plant I had very similar spots and was able to fix it by lowering the PH and adding some CALMAG as I was told it was likely a calcium deficiency. I tried to do the same thing with this plant but have not seem similar results any ideas?
5.5-6.0 PH
20/4 light schedule
1/4 recommended nutes via Dyna-Grow
2.5ml per gallon of CALMAG
I just flushed my system yesterday, hoping to see some improvement.
if you remember, tag me when you start experimenting with it.I plan to start to experimenting with chitosan oligosaccharide in the near future
So the Grow Big from Fox Farms has 2% Calcium and .5% magnesium. Whereas Calmag" has 3.2% and 1.2% respectively. So Grow Big will cover this? Here's my two cents. I would add Pro-tekt (potassium silicate) and a sterilizing agent like chlorine.
In Aeroponics and hydro in general you want to work to keep things sterile, remove any biofilm with a combination of using an oxidizer(chlorine, H2O2), and surfactants. I use potassium silicate and drip clean.
That's what I do in Aero. I plan to start to experimenting with chitosan oligosaccharide in the near future. It's a good alternative to an oxidizer on paper and I've seen good results using it.
