When someone lies to you, it is time to stop trying to think you are sophisticated enough to figure out when they are and when they are not, because everything being presented is propaganda aimed to get people to 'feel' the truthiness of something without actually just going to AP news or Reuters to see whats really known about the situation.

They also pay for the websites that con people into thinking that they are talking to other people and not just a few trolls acting like they are, and the actual news producers like Fox and Hate radio to harden people's beliefs in the lies.

I am calling bullshit, and saying that it is this kind of nonsense that is being used to trick people into these 'both sides' garbage.

Take the white nationalist that was breaking windows dressed in black and holding an umbrella that gets filmed and later that night the buildings start burning painting a false narrative for people on the right to get to point to when they are arguing with their family.

I hit up the both sides argument sometimes. I like to think I'm pretty clear in my views though and it's important to be critical of one's own party...or you wind up going with demon sperm arguments instead of actual justifiable criticism.

During the W Bush years there was a whole bunch of criticism of the patriot act. I agreed it was trash and didn't support it. Obama renewed it, in some instances going further. It's reasonable to say both sides suck shit on domestic spying. It's reasonable to criticize that decision.

But welp, tan suit and Dijon mustard were the arguments made so it is also absolutely true that the two sides aren't equal and one has become utterly retarded.

But also knowing whats up with reality and then deciding if it is even actually something that is wrong, and to what degree.

I remember back with the Bush stuff being all hardcore about it, but looking back I am not sure if it wasn't just a bunch of bullshit trolling of it being spammed by the very people who wanted to be able to attack us more easily. One question I have been thinking about is if it would be ok if the US government jacked the Russian militaries data on all of us Americans and used that if it wouldn't be some workaround to any data privacy concerns.

Anyways, I would be up to taking a real look at it (the domestic spying stuff) again, it would be interesting to think about it with a decade+ of history to weigh it with. Especially knowing how Snowden smuggled everything to the Russian military to use against us.

Also yeah, that is the best thing to come out of Trump. He utterly exposed the entire world to the troll that the right wing was pushing onto us all.
