Best way to cut clones???

Im attempting a perpetual grow and Im at the point where Im ready to flip the first 20 girls and take clones from the 3 best. I topped all my plants. Im wondering if the best clones will come from the top 2 branches or the sides? Also should I cut just above the first node (not counting the top)? Trim some of the top leaves or leave them be? How often should I mist and should I keep water in the bottom of the tray? I have botanicare kind nutes and some thrive alive. Also some cal mag. RO water. Whats a good mix for my misting bottle? Mist the clones directly or the tray? Soak rapid rooters? Any other tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for helping a rookie out all you hedy mfers!!!
since you say you're doing perpetual grow it sounds like maybe you are trying to clone them and keep them in the flower cycle and you'll repot them in the same flower room once the mothers are harvested. so are you thinking they'll be behind schedule compared to the mothers? I'm not sure you don't have to reveg them to delay their timing. Revegging takes some time. Just saying but I don't know for sure, maybe it will work without revegging.

I was planning on cutting clones from these 3 clones next. The best looking on from each strain. No "mother" plant. Was gonna stick the ones I cut colnes from in flower. Logical???

Sorry about my jumbled mess. Cut clones from these clones next. The best looking one out of the 3 strains. Putting the one I cut clones from into flower. So on and so forth. Clones of clones of clones of clones.

oh I didn't think of that. I'm not sure. Like if you clone at say week2, your clone might be thinking I'm at week 2. Maybe it pauses there until roots develop and it starts growing again. So then if it's an 8 week strain it only has 6 weeks to develop buds and they might be smaller flowers then. Idk.
