What could cause longer flowering periods

Take some zoomed out pictures, and for the guys that say to start counting from some random day when you think you see the first flower please go jump off a bridge. That’s the dumbest practice ever, it’s not consistent at all, when you already clearly have a set date (the flip) to count from. And I don’t know where you guys buy your seeds or clones or wtf your doing but I’ve rarely needed to take a plant past 70 days, I shoot for 63 days. Granted I don’t order long flowering sativas, my packs usually say 8-9 weeks and at most it takes 9-10 weeks.

While I count starting at the flip too, what’s pretty funny is if you do it his way, it usually takes 1-2 weeks to show flowers which would account for your longer flower times vs the breeder. Food for thought lol

I flipped on Jan the 20th and gave myself 90 days, I can't think of any strain ever finishing properly in much less 80 days.

At least the op has the good sense/experience to use his own judgement rather than the bs notes!

Hi all , just wanted to tell everyone , after reading a lot , that i found the source of my problem, might be yours too . I was giving my plants more then 1200 ppfd and it seems that kind of light intensity might cause light stress and flowering time might increase because of that . Altough my temps are not hot 25c with leds , the 1 plant and flower that is closer to the light is foxtailing . I believe im correct and found the awnser and decreased to 850 ppdf and 13 hours dark to help a bit on the already lost time

Predominantly light issues. Still a bit high in pic. LOL. I'm going to crash and burn with my new toys.

Gotta love 301's. And White Widow are longer than advertised regardless after many in and outdoors.

My 2 higher plants , the ones that have lots of white pistils, the lower are almost 100% brown and few starting to curl , but my higher plants were getting 1800+ ppfd .

Also genetics might react differently to light stress , what ive learned is to much intensity can cause light stress and longer flowering time

Also ure leafs are cannoing u might have heat stress

In case u dont know the steam vapour method on microwaves works , i have tested this my self in past , and hundreds of people right here on riu if u search are testemony of this , i dont understand all this hate

if you spent a small fortune on a chemists microwave, your not going to get any sort of quality smoke useing a kitchen microwave, its been documented

Im gonna say regardless of what documents u are refering , that in past i microwaved dozens of flower with the steam vapour microwave method and i got high. Also if u do a quick search here on riu u have many testemonials of people having the same experience as i .

So do u want me to show you my 4 plants that have different heights and from the lower to the taller the maturation level is higher on the lower plants even within same strains , im not imagining this , i read some articles , and my plants are telling me that

i did a bunch of drying in a microwave, the best attempt came fro wrapping it in damp newspaper and very low seyting, but i wouldent call it a high, more like smoking shade leaves. but others may have stumbled on a differant way

I showed my ppfd on the second tallest plant. I’ll take a reading in the morning when my lights come on of the tallest.

Im using my samsung sensor with an aplication developed by a riu user , i tested the manufacturer results at the distance they provide and results are similar . Im not inventing this theres a lot of articles saying the ideal ppdf is 900 not more , also i found many articles saying to much ppfd CAN delay flowering, and indeed my plants are showing me that , the only one reciving less then 900 ppfd is the only one with all the pistils brown

So the results of the app ( also samsung sensor is very good ) coincide with the manufactures sheet and u completly ignore that . U also ignore dozens of articles on the internet that talk about this problem with to much ppfd and that the ideal ppfd is 900 no more without co2.

The problem is you are listening to manufacturers recommendations, instead of listening to seasoned growers. Plus quit picking at your plant.
