Do you adjust PH of your RO water at this stage?- just curiousJust out of curiosity why are you adding cal mag to the seedlings? I'm not giving you advice but for me personally my seedlings get straight RO water until they take off into veg land.
Right. Yeah I’m having a similar issue with my seedling. very droopy. temps and RH are good and I’ve been very careful not to overwater. My RO comes in at like 8.5 though so I was wondering if I should drop that before watering. Have your plants recovered?Until recently, yes. It comes in the mid 6's though so I've stopped putting it in. Strictly water at this point. Think that's a contributing factor rn. The dirt has all it needs until it needs a transplant. When it gets too big for last bucket, then maybe I will begin ....
Honestly no I know I should but I haven't been doing it.Do you adjust PH of your RO water at this stage?- just curious
Remember that seedling stage is the most important one! That PH needs to come down. Make sure that your medium is not too tight so that the water doesn’t stick around your roots.Right. Good point! For some reason for past grows I have only been PHing water after they graduate from solo cups. Take this with a grain of salt since I am very new at this but I did do a SHIT ton of research before starting my ladies up!
these are 16 days in and I, myself had a big lockout but regulated the EC through a PHed RO flush and they bounced right back.
have a good day!
That is a badass screen name dude lolGood point! For some reason for past grows I have only been PHing water after they graduate from solo cups. How do you flush a seedling without overwatering?
Lmao thanks man. Was actually the name of my first bong many years ago - figured it could work here lolThat is a badass screen name dude lol
Depends on your medium, if you’re working with coco, you can flush since it’s pretty much overwater proof or else I would just sit it out till it dries up and water with PHed water after. When I started I didn’t even PH my water and the seedlings were fine. Again I work with coco so make sure you get tips from people growing in the same medium as you since the last thing I want is to misguide you.Good point! Yeah I’m in soil which definitely holds on to water which seemed to be OP’s problem. And yeah I have holes in bottom of cup even a few small holes on the sides to helpDepends on your medium, if you’re working with coco, you can flush since it’s pretty much overwater proof or else I would just sit it out till it dries up and water with PHed water after. Oh and did you make holes under your cup? Treat your solo cup as a normal pot and make sure there’s a way for extra water to run off from the bottom
Then I would wait for the soil to dry and put MINIMAL amounts of PHed water around your stalk and not directly on it so you don’t drown the roots.Yeah I’m in soil which definitely holds on to water which seemed to be OP’s problem.
