I've had the worst luck trying to clone with my 96 site Turbo Kloner.
For those that do not clone with an aeroponic for cloning machine, this may be out of your range of experience.
Environment:
I do all my growing in a room that is under my garage. That means all the walls the floor, and the ceiling are made of concrete. This keeps the room cool, so I had to make a cloning chamber.
In this cloning chamber, I have a heating pad set to about 68°F. It gets a bit warmer, and probably will get 4-5 degrees warmer come summer. The concern is that I don't want the air to be much warmer than that because the cloning water nds up being the same temperature as the air. And we don't wasn't the roots getting warmer than °F.
I have a temperature and humidity controller that monitors the water temperature and air humidity. The room RH is around 55°. I could increase it a bit with a humidifier.
The lighting is done with a Viparspectra XS2000, 240 Watt quantum board with dimmer, set at about 30%.
Water: well water that is filtered, softened, then pressed through an RO.
Food: Clonex, lower concentration
Ph. after adding Clonex: 5.8 - 6.0
5 -10mL of 29% H2O2 is added to the 30L sump.
I have a fan on 24/7 circulating the air, but not blowing directly on the clippings.
After a couple days, I "paint" the stems with cloning gel, let it for a couple minutes, then give the a couple minutes to soak it in, then turn on the machine.
I got one strain to finally root after 6 weeks, but the rest are not showing any signs of rooting. The ones that rooted are not looking very good.
I change my water every week or sooner if I see stuff floating.
The two rows to the left are 4 weeks old, the rest are 1 to 1.5 weeks old.
Any ideas, comments?
