Why don't you do a side by side ?
A well-known Auto grower on here always said any more than 1 gallon and you are wasting soil, until he did a side by side in one two and three gallon,, he now uses no smaller than 3 gallon. !!

Good Info I'm planning to do one in a 3 gal one in a 4 gal and one in a 5 gal ... I got Lsd-25 auto and girl scout cookies auto and do si dos auto. This might be a silly question but any suggestions of which one should go in the 5 gal bucket ? /:

Thats another thing, you cant know which one is gonna be the "giant" or the runt so its pure luck as i experienced it. Every auto i grew organically was literally.. whatever! Very different from what the breeder states. Even the taste and smell for a few. But a lot of things come at play height-wise like how close you got your lights or if you have much blue emitting, which keeps em shorter etc.

Just try it out and take care of your waterings!

There is no best size. If you know how you can get by in small containers. I can grow giants in small 1 gallon or less containers. Soil, coco, whatever.

These had been in 2 inch seedling pots for a couple months. I gave them away and they're now in 10 gallon pots and apparently doing great from reports I've gotten. Almost doubled in size after being transplanted but I haven't actually seen them so I'm skeptical as to how fast they grew.

Is that with bottled nuts? I had the impression you grow organic

I'm transitioning to organic but it's taking longer than I originally thought. I still have synthetics to use up and I still have issues with organics I never had before. Those plants are a combination of both. By the time I finish off the synthetics I'll have gotten the organics mastered. I'm in transition phase right now. :peace:
