I don’t use “special” water, I just use spring water by the gallon as I live close to the city and there are minor levels of chlorine in the water so I wasn’t sure if that would damage the microbial life in the soil. I do occasionally use water from the tap. And the only reason I mixed coco and soil was for drainage and a more “fluffy” soil consistency and I used it at a 50/50 ratio. but as I said I was unaware of the issues that it presents, therefore I’m going to run only one or the other from this point on. Any clue on what levels chlorine would be detrimental to microbial activity in soil? I have no problem using tap if it’s fine to use I just took a precautionary approach. Also don’t want any further issues (though the damage is done) so should I just ph water for a week or more? Without any extra feeding to see if it will recover? Thanks a lot for the reply.
