Is this ocean forest mix good? (New2organics)

So I started these photos a while back in some ocean forest with perlite and ewc.

It's now time for transplanting from 5 to10 gallon fabric pots , I've got half of them done with these ratios ..

5 gallons -ocean forest
3 gallons happy frog
1 gallon of perlite
1 gallon of ewc
1tbs of mycos per gallon of soil
20 TBS of dr.earth fertilizer veg bag and flower girl
Optional ( Epsom salt-topdress)

Am I on the right track ? Are these ratios good?

They are starting to bud so they'll be finishing in the 10 gallons.. for mid flower I'll be using more flower girl right? And for late flower maybe a 50/50 ratio of dr.earth fertilizer? Also should I use more than 1 gallon/10% of perlite?

And if I wanted to use % to measure the ingredients it would look like this right?
50% of
30%has
10%ewc
10%perlite

As far as the ratios for the soil mix , I'm just trying to keep it simple with top dressing dr.earth throughout the grow .. so a simple yes or no for my question on the ratios of the ingredients would be great..

I have a learning disability so I'd like to say thank you for any advice/help given

Pics of outdoor plants:
This one is my favorite and is doing great , I used the ratios mentioned above for this one ,it is not flowering yet but the rest have started too.. do they look like there doing good?

This one I believe it may have a nitrogen diefency , but I am aware that some strains have the lime green naturally .. but there's some yellowing leaves on the bottom.

And these are the buds that are coming in :

Also I have 2 indoor Skywalker on that I am transitioning to flower, sp3000 @50% dimmed should I raise it? I have kept it at 50% because I was having magnesium defeicny and they looked stressed out when I had at 75%

Thanks again for taking the time to read and for any advice/given! Much appreciated ,
Have a blessed day and stay safe ..

TY for the laugh. We all have 2 learning disabilities. Our opinion and mouths. Truth.

Seriously you are looking good. Expect the nute issues I think I see beginning. Tap water and proper PPM of nutes along with PH adjustments to get your full potential.

A hello and welcome.

You just need to increase the frequency of your top dressings at this stage, but overall they look good.

Definitely showing deficiencies, not surprising with how large the plants are.

When my plants get that big, I start to top dress two to three times a week instead of once a week. Most Dr. Earth products are very light, so its pretty difficult to overfeed with their products. Top dressing more often should solve your issues in no time.

Try to source compost to cover your amendments with, if you can.

To answer your question about the mix, I personally ran a mix quite similar to yours when I first discovered organics. FFOF and FFHF have their own unique ingredients, with HF being lighter, so mixing them with a little extra perlite just naturally made sense.

It'll work just great, especially once you get the hang of how often your plants need to be top dressed, and when.

Only problem with the mix is that it is quite expensive when compared to the basic peat/perlite/compost mix. 3.3cuft peat moss bale expands to 7.5cuft (~50g). Mix that up with 2 4 cuft bags of perlite (any decent hydro store sells 4cuft perlite for $25-$30. if yours doesn't, find another one), and 4 cuft of quality compost. Add a liming agent to balance the pH, mix in your Dr Earth at recommended doses, and done. Nearly 150g of soil for under $100. Twice the soil for half the cost.

Also, don't mix the mykos into your soil, doesn't work as well. Instead, sprinkle the mykos on your roots.

Overall, you're looking very good! Just get on increasing that top dress as the plants are just starting to bud.

All the best.

Lol welcome. Yeah thanks for the input , I use TDN I believe it's called organic ph down between 6.5-6.7 tap water ..

And I'm going to have to raise feeding amounts ..

Thanks for the input! Yeah I definitely need to increase feedings ,
Still trying to wrap my head around how to use the ferts..

So I've been using 2 tbs per gallon of soil every two weeks in a 5 gallon pot tht would be 10tbs but I just transplanted into 10 gallon pots.

So your suggesting,
I top dress 3 times a week? Cover the with ewc or compost and water in ?

How much do u think I should top dressing each time , for 3 times a week

I came across the regimen devolped by the maker of dr.earth .. but it asked for pump fertilizer as well and other stuff but I've found another regimen by dr.earth that's a lot more simple .. I'll be giving that a try next run here's a screen shot of it .. it's pretty simple to follow

I can imagine, top dressing with dry amendments is a lot different than using bottles so even just understanding the concept of it took lots of time for me.

2 tbs/gallon is what the recommended dose on the backs of those bags is, if I recall correctly? Eventually, that won't be a sufficient amount of nutrition for the plants.

2 tbs/gallon is great for plants up until the last month of veg, then you need to start ramping it up. Especially in the flower and pre-flower. Plants your size I'd be giving 2 tbs/gallon at least once a week.

Those are good guidelines for sure, however eventually we need to adjust the guidelines based on how the plants are reacting. Its good that you're following instructions, but now you're at the point where you're getting good results and you can start straying from the guidelines based on what your plants tell you and your own personal judgment.

Dr Earth, and other "light" amendments can be top dressed religiously with no consequence. "Hot" amendments, like your pure blood/bone meals, guanos, are what need to be applied cautiously and sparingly. Dr. Earth/Jobe/Down To Earth blends can be applied weekly, and it will ensure your plants always have what they need.

I'll try to sum this up, as I struggle to be concise in my thoughts. Simplest way to explain what's going on with top dressing is that, once your amendments decompose the NPK value of it is made available to both the plant (via the roots) and the soil itself. The plant will absorb everything it needs from what just decomposed, and any leftovers will either bind to the soil itself and/or runoff (depends on what is and isn't water-soluble).

Its like when we go to the grocery store; we buy groceries, eat up what we need right then and there, and put the rest in storage (fridge/pantry). The pantry is your soil, and you are the plant.

My personal regime is simple. Sprinkle enough amendments to create a "ring" around the pot/stem at least once a week and lightly cover with compost that with compost. Just enough compost to cover the amendments until you can't see soil anymore. For the rest of the week, I just water and apply necessary foliars.

IMO, the thing most of us struggle with (at least, I certainly did) when trying living organics is we literally can't believe how simple it is.

How is this so simple, even easy? I could write a book on how and why growing in a living soil is truly this simple, but it totally is. All we do is provide water and nutrition, and the symbiosis of the living soil and plant do all the rest of the work.

Sorry for the book, all the best.

Your plants look great, just keep at it.
