Grow-A-Long with Dick

Little update.

Added the humidifier to the closet where i have the plants right now.
Power Plant is reaching it's 5th node. I usually top and leave 2 nodes, so at least i get two good activated branches that goes one each way, and i find it easier to fill the canopy doing that. I normally don't top more than once, all bending after that unique cut.
I know i must expect good branching from this strain, so i may dare to top another time. I have a sativa strain outdoors that responded very well after being topped twice, but don't know if i can replicate it with this strain and indoors. Will upload pic of that outdoor plant later.

Yesterday i also took some cuttings from other plants, let's see if i can make them root.

Got all the girls harvested but want to share a couple things about these Swicks. Plant growth was crazy and the plants loved it. Thanks @Kratos for the idea. Because the 10 gallon smart pot fit the res container so well and i compacted the pearlite before placing the smartpot in it, there was no sag in the bottom of the smart pot. The LABS worked great in the res and very little algae growth and smell. Going to reset and get some Bodhi gear in these swicks! 20210521_133417.jpg20210521_133423.jpg20210521_133448.jpg20210521_134146.jpg

Man the smell..
The struggle is real. We had a few plants last run that looked sorta like this. Forgot to water them as my blumat res ran dry during the cold dead of winter. NBD...at least you can trim this plant with zircon encrusted tweezers.
As long as Dick grows, the thread will grow:o...ok that was my cheap Dick joke:)
Dick. Don’t. Stop. Even when this run is done there’s more plants in queue. My goal as always is to never run outta bud...perpetuity is the goal

So I’m trying to understand why you have a humidifier running. Do you live near a desert? I always had the opposite problem..too much humidity. This time of year it’s fairly dry but in the summer it gets muggy around here...

Bummer.

This Cheese is not drinking much tbh and i got this foxtailing going. Dont know, i raised the lights a bit and watered with microbes hopefully it ll finish as it should. The smell is amazing though. I guess it happens. Dont know man, my first two grows were flawless perfect budding and all. After that i always get some issues going around. The smoke is perfect but something will surely not go as it should. Lazy me

You never know man, so many factors to deal with but you cant just blame yourself. Genetics...even usuing the best genetics, a true champion only rarely emerges.....

would like to post a few more but my setup isn't so photo friendly. Is that some kind of fern down at the bottom of your pot?
I think its perennial of some sort.

You re worrying too much. You may post. Feed some trollz every now and then. The after effect is fun 8-) literally

A little update on my sips. Northern Lights has been trimmed a little and tied down to open her up. She’s the big one. White Widow lst the same she’s in front of NL. The other two on the left are slow growers so I’m just letting them grow. Top dressing at 6 tablespoons a week with 444. I’ll take clones this week and should be in flower by next week. Got home last night & checked the flower room. Was horrified to find my blumat drippers have clogged and almost all the plants were wilting; a few of the large fans totally shriveled. Watered them heavily; hopefully will be ok. They are 2-3 weeks from finish. Updates coming soon.
Maybe not so bad? I read about this the other day. Never tried.

During week 7, plant wasn't watered for 11 days

"Upon harvest, drought-stressed plants had increased concentrations of major cannabinoids tetrahydrocannabinol acid (THCA) and cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) by 12% and 13%, respectively, compared with the control. Further, yield per unit growing area of THCA was 43% higher than the control, CBDA yield was 47% higher, ∆ ⁹ -tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) yield was 50% higher, and cannabidiol (CBD) yield was 67% higher."

It’s probably true that stressing them out with a lack of moisture increases potency. I know I’ve tried to introduce desert conditions late in flower before but they were never at the point of wilting. They gotta survive to the finish line... they probably looked worse than they really are. I’ll take some pics tonight
