Different story.
In most cases, people using salts or synth, esp newbs, are either feeding too much or too little. I see a LOT of too much. I’d def suggest flushing to them. For many reasons. So to say you “never” need to flush, is wrong.
It’s a tek that in some cases and situations/ growing styles that will help

Synth fed grows that have

1. Created an imbalance via salt build up from feeding too much, creating a false deficiency aka lockout.
2. Feeding too much and wanting to strip medium of abundant salt/synth build up to allow the plant to use up its stored reserves in the last week or two
3. Any sort of imbalance in the medium where a reset might be needed

I’d never flush in organic living soil for any reason.
