What’s the deal with the cable hangers they come with? Did you use them? Thanks!Just a heads up, they don't use stealth Shipping if you decide to do business with
We listen to Slayer really loud around here. So we’re always on the verge of bursting into flamesIt is crazy when you compare the par charts of those lights to this one...like, definitely sounds too good to be true...BUT the same guy did the testing for all of them, and the methodology seems sound, or at least, consistent across their reviews. Seems like they make up for the less efficient diodes with sheer quantity. I asked the rep a ton of questions, they're quick to answer if you think of any. If you aren't in a hurry, it's probably a good idea to wait and see how these play out. I don't mind being a guinea pig lol. At least they're UL listed so I'm not too worried about bursting into flames!
Hell yeah. That would be rad. Congratulations on winning that fixture by the way! Have a good one.I actually won 1 of these Medic Grow LED's in a contest and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I'm a firm believer in the GAVITA pro 1700e's, as I own 2 already and they are producing fire. I'll probably do a side by side grow next time in August, and am very excited about it.
The EZ8 looks rad. Looking forward to your review!I have the EZ8 coming as well, looks great and am planning on comparing it to my Fluence SPYDR 2P. Looks extremely comparable and comes with the dimmer on the light instead of bring a separate purchase and having to wore it yourself. Also discovered discovered controller and am excited about it too! I'll let you all know how they compare when I have some results for a side by side grow!

I figured out the hangers. The one with the 'Y' connects to the outer rings and then there should be a screw to tighten on the bottom of the 'Y' split to lock it in place so it doesn't sway. I used the center hanger and replace the outer ones because they would not raise up high enough with the design.I have the Fold8 and couldn't figure out how to use the supplied hangers, so I grabbed 6 ratchet straps as well.
I adjust them by pulling the metal piece in your second picture to raise the fixture. Where your hand is in the same picture (also shown in the first pic) should be a thin barrel on the inside that you can depress to lower the fixture.Hi everyone. First time posting in this forum. I bought two of the Medicgrow Fold-8’s and their light controller. I’m putting them in a 4x8 Gorilla Grow tent.
The reason I came here was to see if anyone else had them and if they figured out the weird cable hangers they come with. I’ve never used this type before.
There are three points from which to hang the fixture. One piece of the cable is like an upside down”Y” and it’s obvious where they attach to the fixture. The second piece connects between the other two, but there really isn’t a way to adjust them like you would a regular light yo-yo. The cable will adjust one way but not the other. I’m attaching pictures in case anyone has ever used this type of hanger for their lights and can “shed some light” on the issue. Thanks everyone.
Thank man. I figured thatout eventually. It’s kind of a weird system and the documentation isn’t very clear. I appreciate you though!I adjust them by pulling the metal piece in your second picture to raise the fixture. Used to b 1890w in the room now I’m 1680w, room environment is much easier to control and light coverage is definitely better than when I had 630cmh.Nicely done. Your girls look great. I’ve got two of the Fold-8’s. Surprisingly they run significantly cooler than I thought they would. It’s a great fixture.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please check the hanging guide here:Hi everyone. First time posting in this forum. I bought two of the Medicgrow Fold-8’s and their light controller. I’m putting them in a 4x8 Gorilla Grow tent.
