New and looking for advice

4 spider farmer sf1000d. Non dimmable
4x4x7 tent (on the way )
6” temp/hum control with controller
Coco median
Grow big ,sugar daddy, cal mag on a (water,feed,water, water, cal-mag) schedule.
3/4 strength
12-6 week olds in roughly 6-7 gallon bags with everything mentioned( now my problems space)
New grower and everything’s been a learning curve for sure. Finally just broke down and ordered a real tent. I originally built a pvc tent with white/black poly and had above mentioned for set up. New tent that’s in my budget means I’m gonna lose probably 8 girls. It’s took countless hours researching my lights and duct fan capability’s till I think I got a good match now that my homemade oversized tents gonna be gone. (Had big newbie dreams) I’ve said all this to give you an idea what I’m working with for my question. I’m new to indoor growing.
I’d like to keep more than four ladies but with new space and current bags I can’t. Am I still early enough into this deal to downsize my bags to keep six or am I too far in? My pic in profile is current. Plants in homade room but my transfer from there will be in a few days. Can get more pics. Just looking for advice from more experienced people! Thanks in advance. Shits been a learning curve from temps to rh to Cfm to nutes to supplements Yada Yada Yada

From my experience in a 4x4 space, 3 gallon fabric pots with 6 plants, or 5 gallon pots with 4 plants. You could go down to 1 gallon pots if you water multiple times a day.

You could transplant them, but unless you have different strains that you're trying to save, or if you're trying to cut down on your veg time, you might as well just grow 4 plants in their current pots. Less is easier.

Appreciate the advice. I will probably just pick best four and set others free. Maybe see how this goes and just see what I’m capable of with what I got first. I will probably try your 3 gallon 6 pot next cycle

I'm not sure what the size of your saucers are, and you can probably find them cheaper elsewhere depending on shipping, but these things are nice. You can also get creative and use baking racks or whatever.

You never let coco dry out. You feed it every time you water. Essentially you are in hydro. Like you were told you need to keep them from soaking in the run off.

I grow in rooms and tents. A tent won't fix a grow but it will allow you to partition a space. Put 4 into flower and keep the others in veg. in your tent. I'd use the room for flower.

I also run around 10% humidity and have no issues. So as long as low humidity is your issue that won't hurt you. If high humidity is your issue you need a dehumidifer or you can get Powder Mildew.

When my canopy is over 100 I see a slight reduction in weight. I don't sell so it doesn't matter to me. These plants are quite resilient and you can grow outside the VPD curve to start and learn.

I do let the coco dry out only up to first knuckle maybe a little more between waterings. And it takes usually 3 to four days right now for that to happen. I’m struggling with high humidity as we speak but bags are sittting in quarter inch of runoff right now so I’m gonna go after that here soon and get bags up out of runoff somehow. Are you saying that I should never give plain water to coco? I’m scared that I’ll nute burn them so I don’t mix any of what I give them together and run plain ph’d water like I do to ensure that im not over doing it. I like your idea. Put 4 into veg as soon as I can and just maintain other 8 till I can get them in there. I’ll probably try that. So today I’ll get my runoff squared away and my bags up. I appreciate the advice you guys have. I’m hoping I’ll be able to shut dehumidifier off by tonight. I been struggling with humidity being high but I had a few bad choices and miscalculations. I had a massive tent, too small of temp humid duct fan for that size and not enough light. So smaller tent made more sense for me. I could get better airflow and control and now my lights will be fuzz over rated for tent instead of not enough now. I just had big dreams at first I guess. I’m learning every day.

2. You always feed at every watering. (Start with 1/4 the recommended dose for stage for your nutrients and move up slowly from there.)

3. What is the pH of the nutrient solution you water with and how do you measure it?

4. I suggested putting 4 in flower the REST in veg.

NB: Flowering is when things can go sideways fast. In hydro plants react quickly. You don't have a soil buffer.

I’ve only been letting the top dry out a inch maybe inch and a half. I have well water and my natural ph is roughly 6.5 to 7. I usually let a bucket sit outside in sun for a day then ph it to roughly 5.5 to 6 then put in nutrients or supplements test again then water. I say roughly because I don’t have a fancy pen yet just color sheet. My new tent is here Tuesday and I plan to start 4 in 12-12 light and veg the rest. I’m gonna drop a wall in my bigger home made tent to make two tents out of it with goal of one side being veg and other side a drying room. I started way to many plants with not enough knowledge of what I was really doing. I’m learning more everyday and am just trying to make what I got work now. If I could afford another store bought tent and a nice light I could get more in flower as I have everything else from all my other trial and errors. This is my first indoor grow and I jumped into it not knowing enough. I know I can do it just this first run has been a constant learning curve and money wasted in the wrong things. I should of studied more before I jumped into it. All advice is appreciated

You never let coco dry out, not even the top inch or inch and a half.

Always feed coco nutrients. Never plain water.

Always feed to significant runoff if the plant is properly rooted in it's pot. If it's a small plant in a large pot you need to give it less water.

Them look nice just out of budget right now. I’m gonna go out and look today. I chose to use wet/dry vac to suck up excess runoff this morning when there lights came on. My leg is in a immobilizer still from acl repair and meniscus scrape last week. So next time I lift them will be to put racks of some sort to keep from sitting in runoff and continue to use vacuum. Thanks for advice. I’m hoping this will help the plants I got to keep in veg for a while also
