Another option is mixing in dry amendments like Gaia or Dr earth.I mix 1 cup gaia to 5 gallons of PM and a little EWC.Let that cook and it seams to work.

I'm needing to add some bacteria and fungi to my current grow. What would you recommend? I'm not very educated on the topic.and from what I understand you need to mix it with the soil before planting/transplanting correct?
Personally, I use dynomyco @aridynomyco. They have a sweet giveaway going on too here.
And I use microbial mass for bacteria.
I've also been known to use dr MaryJanes for bacteria but I've switched over to dynomyco now.
Certain products you mix with soil others you mix with water. Mycorrhizal needs to contact the roots so it's recommended to dust the root ball before planting

Can you have too much mycos?
Just follow the directions on the pouch.
Yes pmix contains mycorrhizal but like bk stated it's not much. Plus those bails are generally stored poorly so the viability of the mycorrhizal is likely poor. Promix myco is prob going to have your highest viable spores. But it's damn exp. Propogules are just any part of a spore whether it be viable or not.
Propogules vs viable spores is an important thing to consider when buying mycos. Dynomyco seems to be the best for the price imo.
Other options are plentiful
Orca, great white shark or whatever Williams organic wonder, mykos, etc etc ... Each have their own positives and negatives. Some are worth it some not so much.

This is off topic. I've never been on a forum before. I have a few more questions that doesn't pertain to this subject. Do I need to start a different thread or is it cool to continue here?

Well you might get more responses with a new thread title pertaining to the matter in question. But shoot. If you don't get the answer you're looking for make a new thread

Not really as they are a living thing and if there are too many some will die off and become fertilizer.
Gotcha. I just did not know if it was a soil like ocean Forrest or happy frog. One is recommended veg and the other for flower by their self. I knew Pro mix has some stuff in it but was unsure on exactly what. I'm still very ignorant on a lot so some of my questions may be kind of dumb lol
The HP and BX don't have nutrients other than the dolomitic and calcitic lime added for pH balance as peat moss is slightly acidic. It's a soilless mix and I personally love it as I can just fill a pot and water in hydro nutes and it's good to go. Seems to work great with organics mixed in and running it like that without feeding anything for a while. I have never found it to compact so it's hard and if you rough up the surface water soaks in like a sponge.

Like anything else what works for one may not for another so all you can do is experiment and find out for yourself.

Pro Mix does come with a 10 days nutrient charge, enough fertilizer to last a new seedling 10 days. Then you need to start giving them baby doses and build from there.

Here's my grow so far. 5x5. The 2 smaller ones are 3 weeks behind the others. The others are stunted from improper lighting the first 3-4 weeks but are doing decent. If the older are female, will it be ok to veg them until the younger show sex and or flower them together? Older ones are at 6 weeks.

I love pro-mix bx. As said earlier, it does tend to compact so I think I am going to start to mix with some more perlite for mothers that get really really compacted over time in it. Other than that, it's been good for me right out of the bag with my choice of Nutes. 6.3 pH. I like the fact that I only have to feed/water every 3 days so I don't mind that it holds that amount of water.

I beg to differ. Neither the HP or the BX have any nutrients in them. The ProMix Veg&Herb does have organic time release nutrients but they worked badly for me when I grew in a 50:50 mix of it and the HP. When I used it straight up it grew very healthy pot plants and when the bottom leaves started to yellow I up-potted them and off they went again growing great and under CFLs too.

The BX is the same as the HP except the lack of perlite in the BX and almost too much in the HP.

How often they need water is relative to the size of the pot and plant in it. I up-pot by when it needs water in less than 48hrs it's time for a bigger pot then I may not have to water for a week until the plant gets bigger then they need it more often. When they finally get in their final 4gal pots they usually go 3 days between waterings thru flower.
