When will they disbar Sydney the kraken Powell?
Detroit files case for sanctions against Sidney Powell and Lin Wood — including disbarment
According to Reuters reporter Brad Heath, the motion isn't just about sanctions. However, it asks that Powell and Wood also be sanctioned for "false and frivolous claims while seeking relief with massive implications for our democracy."

"The City also served Plaintiffs with a Motion for Sanctions under Fed. R. Civ. P. 11 on December 15, 2020," the case continued. "Plaintiffs did not withdraw or correct any of the false factual allegations and frivolous legal theories in their pleadings during the 21 day 'safe harbor' period. Thus, this Motion is timely."

The footnote explained that they sent an email to serve Powell, but never got a response.

Rudy Giuliani suspended from practicing law in New York state

Rudy Giuliani, the former personal lawyer for former President Donald Trump who once held one of the legal profession's most prestigious jobs, was suspended Thursday from practicing law in New York state by an appellate court that found he made "demonstrably false and misleading statements" about the 2020 election.

In a ruling released following disciplinary proceedings, the court concluded that "there is uncontroverted evidence" that Giuliani, the former Manhattan US attorney, "communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump's failed effort at reelection in 2020."

Giuliani's "conduct immediately threatens the public interest and warrants interim suspension from the practice of law," the court wrote.

The suspension of his law license marks a precipitous fall for the former New York City mayor, once considered an accomplished and formidable force in legal circles. In recent years, however, Giuliani's reputation has suffered as he has come under criminal investigation by the office he used to lead, the Manhattan US Attorney's office, for possible illegal lobbying. He has denied wrongdoing.

Trump Blasts NY 'Witch Hunt' for Suspending Giuliani's Law License
After an appeals court suspended Rudy Giuliani from practicing law in New York on Thursday, former President Donald Trump fired back, saying New York "should be ashamed of themselves."

Trump wrote in a statement Thursday from his Save America PAC:
"Can you believe that New York wants to strip Rudy Giuliani, a great American Patriot, of his law license because he has been fighting what has already been proven to be a Fraudulent Election?
"The greatest Mayor in the history of New York City, the Eliot Ness of his generation, one of the greatest crime fighters our Country has ever known, and this is what the Radical Left does to him.
"All of New York is out of control, crime is at an all-time high — it's nothing but a Witch Hunt, and they should be ashamed of themselves. TAKE BACK AMERICA!"
"The bar association should give me an award," Giuliano told his WABC-AM radio listeners. "I defended an unpopular client. I've been threatened with death. I've had a good deal of my income taken away. I've lost friends over it."

"This is happening to shut me up," he added. "They want Giuliani quiet."

But Rudy, your No 1 client will not even pay you. All the good his words of praise will do you. At least you got right you defended an unpopular client.

OP hopefully realizes suspension is not the same as disbarred.

but probably doesn't.
In Rudy's case, suspension will be followed by disbarment, indictment, conviction and imprisonment. Rudy is looking down a rough road and I imagine he's hitting the wine bottle pretty hard, he knows what's coming at him like a freight train. No wine in prison, but there will be whining and perhaps squealing and dealing for Donald's head!

Donald has a lot of legal bills to cover now and they are increasing, Rudy's and now the entire Trump organization, since their crimes were work related and Trump ran a criminal enterprise. I figure they are going for NY's version of RICO, Trump was a crook for years and it is easily proved, this will put him away for the rest of his miserable life.

NY Court Suspends Rudy Giuliani's Law License for Stream of "Uncontroverted" Lies About the Election

In a stunning 33-page court order, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, suspended Rudy Giuliani's law license for his steady stream of what the court calls "uncontroverted lies" about the 2020 presidential election. The court sets out in excruciating detail the evidence that proves Giuliani lied about, among other things, voting in Pennsylvania, voting in Georgia, dead people voting, underage people voting, convicted felons voting, etc. The judges detailed how Giuliani lied at press conferences, at state legislative hearings, on radio interviews, podcasts, TV shows and in court. This video reviews the highlights (or perhaps lowlights) of the court's findings about Giuliani's sweeping and systematic lies designed to undermine confidence in our free and fair elections.
