New large grow.

I have a grow in about the same space. I get 4 per year. But if you have a seperate veg area, you can defintely pull 5-6 per year if you're fast at cleaning and have a seperate drying area. I've managed #19-21 ranging from 12 plants to 16.
No Refrigerated AC here either. I use evaporative and high humidity

Thanks for your advice my friend. I have ac in the flower rooms but don’t really plan on using it during the winter because the heater won’t be running.
I’m starting to think I need to try and harvest more often !

With 6 lamps 12-18 of the best in town. One guy on this site was doing 40 with 12 lamps and 12 plants. You should look up his/her grow. I forget the users name.

40+ lbs with 12 Plants in 2 Rooms on a Flip

Nice then you have the flexibility to try some more expensive things and then resell them without regret if they don't work for you. It does make growing a lot more enjoyable.

your lights are not air cooled. and you said earlier you won't be running heat during the winter, soooooooo

do you expect you house to passively maintain the temperature? the heat will want to build up in the rooms with lights and just stay there. The outside walls insulation value won't be high enough (unless you like fully built this house and know what's up). I build houses for a living and people don't insulate them well enough

harvesting both rooms at onces seems like a waste of workload, I would rather harvest one every month. (if I had two rooms in the same space I would lightly scrog and let the plants veg a week or two in the flower room to fill the net).

there's alot of questions about the logistics of running a huge grow like this (huge based upon power draw).
A) why arent your lights vented that's alot of heat.
B) I know a guy who runs 2 1k 24/7 veg and 10 1ks in the flower room. with all the logistics to go with it. his power bill is 6-800$ a month. your running 2 times as many.
C) as far as timing / room spaces, I would want a 4*8 for mother's/ clones. a 10 *10 to let the plants veg for 4-8 weeks. than the two flower rooms. + a 4*8 for storage.
D) plant count can matter. people like Rufus can get 40ps off 12 plants but that's not easy, I got 3/4 of a p off my mother plant in a 20 gallon that vegged for 4 months, under a 1k. to be fair it's the first plant I ever owned but; a perfect run under a 1k is 2 lbs, I would make sure you're going to be happy getting only 1lb consistently. you can probably stay dialed in at 1.5

I think myplan will shift towards running only a couple of lights for veg. I was under the impression I needed much more !
I will have a similar power bill when the whole basement is done I’m sure!

To answer the heat question I have intake and eqhaust into and out of all rooms that’s currently leading into the big open area and will be pushed outside once the operation begins to grow. Vivosun 6inch 390cfm

I have 2 other large wall fans the same kind as the current installed one that will go up when the room is filled.

the room currently with two lights and the 1fan/dehumidifier has the current temp at 68-70 and 30 Humidity

I am rated the upgrade needed ! Through the advice of many here I understand I need significantly less for my veg than previously thought. Once the dedicated subpanel is installed electricitywon’t be an issue !

Base your dehumidifier based on plant count. Not square feet. Are you running the lights 240v? How many amps are you capable of? You're not going to heat your house??? You're going to have to have heat and ac in winter.itll get too cold down there. Just because you have two panels with 200 Amp of breakers each doesn't mean you have 400 amps if the power company can't push it to the box. Most house service is limited to 200 amps unless you have them allocate more.

Exciting stuff, good luck on your project! There is tons of knowledge about large grows on RIU so read up and keep asking questions. I have zero experience with large grow ops but I'm watching and learning. You may want to consider raising your temp because weed likes a bit warmer than 68-70. Mid-70's for HID and around 80-84 for LED should help growth. RH could be higher too, especially in veg. You may want to look into VPD while your planning your environmental controls.

He's in Michigan man depending where exactly that basement is going to be cold even with lights and stupid low humidity.

If you want max production get automated fertigation asap. Usually around a 4:1 ratio of flower to veg lighting. I get about 50lb per year with 8 plants (3 of them must be under 5") 8000watts of lighting, 1 room and 1 grow tent; no co2. In time I think I can get 60 or more. Sky's the limit is what I'm saying, see what you can do

I understand what you mean. I am only limited to 200 like you said, but with the knowledge I’ve received from everyone I think I will be able to run my grow with around 100 amps. by flip flopping. The thermostat stays on 74 and so far the room has stayed at that temp with no issues. the houses AC is blowing into the grow room. No dedicated ac/heat at this time.

I have a thinner room that I will be using for veg with only 2 1000 watt lights. as opposed to the initial 6-8 I thought I needed.
The current room in the pictures will be a flowering room with the (6)1000w hps lights. 8.3x6=49.8 Amps.
I will have a second room the same size and I’m still debating if I will do a LED flower room or not, but no matter what the two flower rooms will be running at opposite times.
basically I was wrong and I’m learning haha I would like to keep under 100 Amps running at the same time.

My target goal in the next 3 years is 50 pounds in a year ! I have the space and resources so it would be doable once I figure out the best system for myself

What about your home though???most modern homes use almost all of 200 amps. You may want to look into running everything 220v to lessen the amperage as much as possible. Also run 10 gauge wiring if possible trust me on this well worth it. that 50 amps doesn't count for the 11 or so amps needed for a proper dehumidifier or fans and everything else. I'd have someone check how much of a load you have currently and what your rooms are going to add. Grow rooms eat up amps fast as hell. What kind of box do you have? Eaton, homelite or something else?

Blumats for watering unless you're on a bigger scale then just flood and drain. It's what I do ie both lol blumats for my r&d lab and flood and drain at my big grow. Honestly I'll be doing flood and drain at the r&d lab too here soon getting all my fast fit tables piped together and doing some rebuilding.

It's a bit more require than allow to a point. LEDs tend to produce lower leaf temps and leaf temp is what VPD is all about.
