I never heard of an EC meter until just seeing this reply an

Ihave never heard about an EC meter until reading this. I have a feed schedule that goes by ML and i use a syringe to put accurate nutrients in the water. Im reading some about the EC meter now and what it does..I have read a good amount of information about growing but honestly have never came across that.
Good, what are your nutrients can you give us a link? Also the feed chart your going off of.

Flora Series Feedcharts – General Hydroponics
The Professional 6 part Nutrient System chart-I do light feed every other watering
I dont have camera right now.
Its a 3 foot plant, all the leaves except the top top part of the plant are yellow but they arent dead, they are all perked up in the light but they will die-The one plant died bc the buds were drying up but that plant was in the late late flowering stage and the one thats still alive now is in mid flowering..

What do you mean, I water my plants every day to a run off but I only use the nutrients every other day like GH directed. I used the light feed doses for most of the plant cycle but during mid flowering i switch to the medium feed. How many ml what? Nutrients? I go by the chart that i sent the link 2, it may go my teaspoon in that chart but i equaled out ml to tsp.

Chart goes by ml per gallon, light feed suggests greater then 5 irrigation events a day.Heavy feed is one per day.
Good luck.

I dont have an irrigation system&am learning each day.I am trying to maximize my yields but its not turning out exactly how i hoped. I have auto flower seeds so i cant top the plants. I water the plants in the morning&at night i top them off. Its a pain in the ass mixing the nutrients all the time. I was doing a heavy feed but i got worried that i was overdoing it with the nutrients bc i read that a lot of people use the measurements they give&then cut them in half.
When i go by the feeding schedule they give the plants would turn out so small. I mean the plants dont really start growing until like a month in&a lot of times i go by the schedule and it says to start early flowering but the plants just arent at that stage. I know its important to give the nutrients at the right times but some times that is difficult. 5 weeks doesnt seem like enough time for the plant to be ready to start the flowering process.
Quick question if I mix 1 gallon&a half of nutrients and water the plants periodically through the day,is that safe to do? or do the nutrients have to be mixed&then immediately given to the plant?

Definitely get an EC meter for coco. If you take proper care of the probe (don't use it dry, rinse after use, store in proper solution) it will read quickly and accurately. Are you using calibration solution and storage solution with your PH meter?

A couple days worth of mix will be fine, check the premix ph on day 2.

dont have the money for all that. I have two different branded pens and a manual one now. Apera Instruments is a decent brand.
Sure..
I stick to the tried tested and true instruments.
What's a manual ph pen?
