so i tell you what m8 you go back to figuring out what size light you should be using to veg with and i'll go check on my 18 mother plants that are under the correct lighting and lookin lovely you muppet.

I've been utterly defeated by the amount of mother plants you have.

I have no choice but to surrender to your masterful skills.

Hate to break it to ya ripz, but defending the Secret Jardins is a waste of time.

Obviously your already invested in them so its in your best interest to use/defend them.

But the fact is its horrible advice to recommend that anyone waste their money on a Secret Jardin Tent. %99 of the time they are total crap, this has been proven again and again. And even if you go on about how great Yours is, chances are if someone else heres this and goes and wastes money one they are not gonna get one of your "pro models" or whatever you say they are.

And even if someone where to purchase the "pro" over the regular, Why do I have a feeling this "non street version" cost twice as much?

The fact of the matter is, Homebox Tents are cheaper, Much, Much, Much Higher quality, and can support 10x more weight then any Secret Jardin tent could any day.

ok cool just speaking from my experience , i have tried a lot of tents out and prefer these and the homebox over all others, people are entitled to buy whatever one they want .
if im wrong then i apologise but hey it seems to work for me even the street im using seems to be getting better results than most of the grows of the same size on here.

I would definitely agree that the secret jardin and homebox are better then all other tents, Hands down. But the homebox is better then the Secret jardin too, better quality and a better price.

Noones saying that a secret jardin wont work, they are just lacking in quality for the ridiculous price they are asking. Homebox is an all around better tent.

Everywhere I have seen the secret jardin is at least 25% more.

I got my 5x10ft by 6.7ft Homebox for 499 CDN. The secret jardin thats near this size, 4ft11 by 9ft10 is 650USD

I bought my Homebox off the official supplier. Every site I seen with the secret jardin its more expensive.

Where did you get yours? Only decent site I have seen new secret jardins on is BGHydro.com.

Also wasnt it you who said you had to replace all the zippers on a secret jardin?? That alone would be enough for me to never want to deal with one again.

Ah i see. Yeah I it seems like there have been nothing but problems with a lot of the cheaper tents, budbox, hydrohut, hydrolab, Iv heard about recalls on a few of them for using PVC and just inferior manufacturing.

GrowTech

stays relevant.
I've seen the homeboxes in the shops... and can only compare them to my SJ 150 veg tent... the dark room tent has actual reflective material on the inside, and a heavy material on the outside... the homeboxes seem to be made from the same material that they use to make awnings, and doesn't have as many available ventilation ports..

The fact is... they are tents, and even though the homebox sucks doesn't mean you shouldn't use it... right? ;)

The homenox is great in my eyes to be honest with you all,
I'm using 3 of them just now.
I have the clone/Mother Box, the XL Box
and the XXL Box and i think there the business, have carbon filters in each one and no smell anywhere. They seem to be working perfect for me except some small issues with Humidity but thats due to where the box's are set up..
But in my opinion there well worth the money as you can take them apart and take them with you if you have to move home as i am in rental property also, better than having to take apart a fullgrow room??

...have you used a homebox? I have the XXL set up, its better quality then my old darkroom, that thing could barely hold the weight of my fan and reflector.

Also I prefer flat white any day. And have you tried cleaning the walls of the darkroom? Doesnt work so well when the material is stained. And dont even get me started on the light leaks.

Homebox is easier to clean, holds more weight, 4 intake ports and 4 8" socks???? is that not enough?

And the removable floor piece is a bonus for cleaning.

Gonna jump your bones again here mate so don't get all pissy....it aint personal.

Let me explain a bit better what I purchased. I have 2 "pro" models of SJ tent. The DR300w and the DR120. They both use the better reflective/insulated lining. Like I said previously they cost me $1000.

They DO have steel poles. The DR120 is almost 4' x 4' and uses one pole for a cross connection. It is quite strong but there is no way I can hang a can filter 33 from it. A can filter 33 is only 25 pounds. The tent does hold other things quite well but not safely over 15 pounds. It holds a can filter 2600 quite easily, maybe even a 9000.

The DR300w, which is almost 5' x 10', uses 2 poles to make a cross connection. You can't hang anything safely over 10 pounds on those things. I was very surprised at how cheaply they were made.

It sunk down 10 inches when I tried to hang a can filter 9000 and 4" can fan from the side bars. My friend has the Homebox xxl and he can hang from the one of the side poles.

yes but i am asking if any one has had experience with the sun huts cus i was looking to buy one and i have to hang 2 air cooled hoods and a 2 fans one for scrubber and one for exhasting air cooled hoods would have like a homebox but they dont have the dementions i need

Yeah the homebox XXL also has 8 additional poles for hanging stuff, 8 additional ones not including the ones that support the actual tent, so when its all set up I have 16 poles just for the roof to hang stuff from. I currently have about 60-70lbs hanging fine, i could EASILY load up anotehr 30-40 lbs, probably even more if it was spread out properly.

They do look like a pretty exact copy of the SJ tents. How much are they claiming ot be able to support? The problem with situations like this is that sometimes the only way to find out is to set it up and see what happens, it really depends on what your using. I have a 1000w air cooled hood that weighs about 30 lbs, but in my tent I have 2 that weigh about 5 lbs each.

You might have some better luck googling for a review on them.

no they are more on the heavy side i havent read how much they can hold so i really couldnt say but its a shame that home box doesnt work woth my size requirements i need one 24-35 in wide and 44-56 inches long

Yeah thats the biggest issue with tents, you never get the exact size you want.

Its not like a cheaper tent is not going to work, the biggest thing to watch for would be toxicity due to PVC, but Im pretty sure all the tents that were causing toxicity issues have been recalled.

If that tent has the dimensions you need and the price is right for you then you will probably be fine to just go for it. I would imagine its going to be easier to make something work for you thats already the right size. Its not like you cant replace/upgrade the poles, they are just poles.
