Gen Hydro Aeroflo

Anyone know where I could find an Aeroflo?
I'm looking for one that uses the "panda" reservoir so that means an Aeroflo 36, 60, or the 60 with extension.

Not having any luck with searching the net. Tried the first 3 pages of Google and struck out everywhere.
Lots of sites still list them, like here https://www.discount-hydro.net/general-hydroponics-aeroflo-systems/,
but when I called them they said they haven't been available for a few years. The person I talked to said the only way I'd find one was if a hydro store had it in stock.
So that's what I'm after. If anyone on here happens to know of a store that has one, let me know.
I've got no problem with a used one either if someone on here wants to sell one.
Thanks

They are definitely kick ass; I've got one already but I'm dying to find a 60. I fucked up and didn't order one 2 years ago when I could have from my local store.
The drip ring repair kits, vortex sprayer replacements for the rainforests, and all that repair stuff is GONE. Fucking Monsanto!
I emailed them last month, "

Hi ,
Thank you for reaching out to Hawthorne Gardening Company - General Hydroponics. Unfortunately we have since discontinued the systems line of General Hydroponics. You may still be able to find some older systems online, but moving forward we are not going to offer these.

Thanks,

This is a copy of the Stinkbud Rail system. CHeck the THread "Grow 2 Lbs in Three weeks" top of the Hydro Aeroponics threads. He give you the way to construct this out of Home Depot materials and several modifications. Lots of ways to do these. Probably cheaper too!

I've had that thread bookmarked for a while now, but thanks for pointing it out. I still never read all of it though....

I found this one too.

You're right; lots of ways to do this. It's getting so hard to find one and if you do they're double the price they were 3 years ago.

Or a more simple approach, just like the Aeroflo but with waterfalls from the Water farms...

Budget DIY Hydroponics/NFT
I have a pretty good waterfarm and powergrower collection. I just put a Wedding Cake and Durban Poison into a waterfarm each BUT it hurt me to do it. The trouble is reservoir maintenance. You have old school in your title so I'm sure you'll get this. The Aeroflo's are one reservoir and they grow multiple plants. They will grow them very big too. Plus you can convert them from DWC to NFT by dropping the fluid levels in the fingers to 1/4 inch. The roots grow in air instead of the solution and get way more oxygen. I'm always checking the Ph and PPM in the systems and running more than a couple of the DWC types is a lot more fucking around. Every time I check/adjust a waterfarm I think I could be doing that for multiple plants in an Aeroflo, not just one. The Aeroflo's aren't perfect though. The hole spacing is way too close at 6 & 1/4 inches on center and there's no way to get good sized plants using all the fingers in the same direction. Cut 3 holes in the lid and run half them out the other side of the unit and use every second planting hole and you can pull some great crops. That's 6 plants in only 3 fingers in my signature grow.

These pics are my current crop. Still a little rough looking but I just planted the Aeroflo 2 weeks ago and the waterfarms one week ago. They'll be popping hard real soon and then I'll flip.

Yes one reservoir with the AeroFlo is a drawback.

I started out back then with an AF14, which I then expanded to 5 pipes with 35 plants and 2 larger reservoirs, totaling 150 liters/40 gallons.

Never had roots clog the pipes, always took the clones straight into 12/12, but they could do so if the plants eg. vegged for a long time before flowering.

I have tried to run them with 5 cm/2 inch water level(DWC) and also with just 1 centimeter/1/4 inch(NFT) did not however notice any improvement of the final weight/product.

The Aeroflo's aren't perfect completly agree on that, especially as you mention the hole placement, thats the nice factor of making these pipes yourself, hence you can give them more space inbetween and also the pipes themselves, but its quite a bit cheaper.

Nice 6 plant grow you have:-) in the link mate...

You can make the water farms in a DIY made one today and it was super simple and only cost about 10 bucks at most I made a 7gal version now time to grow something in it. How many water farms do you run at a time? And what medium do you normally use in them?
i broke another water ring so i'm just running them as a plain old DWC this run coming up. i run 4 at a time drain to waste. for medium, i use a mix of hydroton and growstones.

@rkymtnman you’re getting low on driprings! I made a cover for my waterfarms to keep the light off them just because of you. Sucks there’s no more replacements from GH/Monsanto.
So you run them without a dripring and just use DWC? Is it hard to get them started without wilting?

instead of filling up the upper bucket with media, i'm trying it with just about 3 inches. i drilled a larger hole right in the middle and fed my roots thru it and then backfilled around it. so far so good. they basically are starting with roots in the lower res. it "might" actually be faster this way: we'll see in a few weeks or so.
