I would be concerned an epoxy coat would be slippery when wet.

That's why garages have the plastic chips. You can add more but there is other things to add like silica.

Don’t buy anything from Home Depot. Find a local concrete supply store near you and tell them what you’re looking for.

Also for pool decks I recommend “shark grip” it may be called something else by you. It’s fine silica sand that provides grip. You mix it with the sealer before you apply. I also recommend rolling it on.

So to protect your color I would recommend 3 coats. If it’s already been sealed then just two. If it’s been 5 plus years since you sealed it. Just do 3. Use the shark grip on the last one. Then you know when it’s time to seal again. (The shark grip has wore off)
