So you actually read up on Bacillus thuringiensis have you? Please elaborate and show us some scientific paper supporting how a organic bacteria culture only affecting flying bugs reproduction cycle may affect humans?

It's not sold in Europe because they think insects will build resistance and tolerance to it's use commercially where it's still being used for food production, not sold on the private market to my knowledge anymore in EU.
You again?? And you even started off the same way as last time you quoted a post of mine.
Like you're some kind of knighted forum guru. "so you have been reading up on.... blah blah lately"

Get off my nuts bro.. I even tried to be friendly with you first. Clean your grow space and build a modern looking aero cloner.

Look up 2 posts and read mine, lol. You'll get it then. He's confused and high on meth as usual.
You have to be the worst grower on this website. And your attempts to troll me are pathetic.
By all means, put your plants up that you haven't seen fungus gnats near in the last 2 years.

Ouch that a lot of hostility in one post. We're not the ones being banned by not keeping our temper and showing appreciation and respect to others. Lay of the pipe, it's messing with your head and reasoning.

We're all here to learn but you're the one being hostile and talking a lot of nonsense TBH. I've never heard of anyone reacting bad to BTI but I would not want that nastiness on my skin and clothes.

Did I not answer your question? There was no hostility there.

I'm sorry you got offended.

Sure but there's not a reasoning to sling your dick and come out looking like a complete asshole? Just be nice and respectful towards others. That's only one study while I've been using BTI without any apparent issues for over two decades with a lot of people experiencing the same.

You read one study and think all the anectodal experience and evidence suddenly means nothing? Work to help others and learn to listen, read and show appreciation.

I was respectful to you. Don't try to give me some forum ettiquette low-down. What in the world? YOU should lay off the pipe bro.
You're the asshole. Do you want me to go quote your response to a genuine question I had asked you? Mister Plant Biologist?

I don't hate on anyone & I definitley haven't pulled my dick out. Keep following me around trying to hate. You will see it when you see it.
You're almost being hostile towards every single forum member in every single thread you post in?

The only drama is you acting like a spoiled brat. In a couple of days we'll probably see you banned and under a different username. I hope you get your personal problems sorted and I wish you all the best in this world.

Blumats and 100% coco for the win.
100% agree on this. Before Blumats where a thing we called it drip systems/irrigation. Blumats seem like a more refined and solid product than what we used then. Still got my old drip system somewhere. The pump I used for it is actually still alive today.

It must be close to 20 years old. It's on its last strokes but I still use it to do res changes weekly.

Gnats really flush when soils that are highly amended go through a wet / dry cycle.

it’s not too much water, it’s inconsistent moisture levels. That’s why the blu mats help. They keep it consistent and even moisture. Perfect for beneficial bugs to keep ecosystem in check.

also fresh castings help for sure. Bti helps for sure. But it’s more about time for the microherd to really become established.

gnats eat the fungal decomposition happenening inevitability in organic soils. There’s no way around it. The only option to to make somewhat of a plan to keep beneficials happy, while maybe hurting their life cycle one way or another.

also DE works IF mixed with perlite or coir or something to keep it dry.
1 part de
4 parts perlite. Too dress 1 inch. This is better for smaller containers that don’t have lots of surface area

Also. Why everyone so mean. They are just gnats and it’s just a weed and it’s just dirt at the end of the day. Everyone is right and none of this really matters !!!

What EC are you all running? I dropped down to between 1.0 and 1.2, and I noticed my leaves are starting to become a little pale.
When I run coco and blumats 1.2-1.3 EC in veg and 1.5-1.6 EC in flower. If I see the very tips of the leaves start to have that slight browning from too much I lower it some. Those numbers are not exact as I'm not very accurate when I mix up nutrients. Some scoops might be heaping some not. I have been using the nutrients I use when doing coco/blumat grows for years and rarely check EC. I've mixed them so many times I just do it from memory and adjust the pH which I don't check either because after years of using the same thing I know how much pH down it takes to get to 6.0 and whenever I do check it's spot on.
