Liking the mars hydro bar style side of things? I can say my Se3000 (bar style SF) is quite good... and was a massive upgrade over sf2000....Bar styles the future? I mean its so low on heat... I see ppl hanging their se3000s like... 10" from the top of the crop @ 100%... and no burn occurs.... i have mine about 14" 5 wks into flower (gg auto)
As for the heat comment I’ve never been one to suffer any heat issues really

I was previously using the 400w setup with a 450m3/h fan (250CFM approx) with 900m3/h filter all controlled with a fan speed controller.

I’m still using the exact same extraction equipment only my fan doesn’t have to work as much to keep the temps where I want them.

now that we are leading into winter here in the U.K. the HPS would be kept at a steady 24C during this time.

the LED I feel may need me to block off my external intakes to slow the flow of colder intake air coming in.

Update pending!

Will be updating today as I need to get in the plant and strip it and train it a little more.

I’m also going to be topping each of the lead nodes to help spread out the canopy a little more.

I will take more before and after pics.

I always forget before pictures.

So how about half way through lol.

plant was out to where my hand is

After the thinning out and repositioning.

I have taken off anything that is a few inches long and with flimsy stems.

I will most likely thin this plant out again once I’m almost full on the screen but I will make that decision closer to the time.

the main reason I have thinned the plant out is so that I can manipulate it better under the screen without too much foliage etc getting in the way.

With a fair amount of veg time left to complete I will also be zip tying the leaders to the net soon to keep them in position.

Tote is currently at 0.9EC pH6

I have adjusted for 5x 1min feeds per day.

@MarsHydrofactory FCE-3000 is still sitting at 75% power.

Little update.

I’ve now switched to 12/12 as this fits in better with my time line to be able to finish just after Xmas.

Pictures of before trimming and then after.

I will thin this out again during stretch as I’m positioning leaders into the screen.

although it doesn’t look like much has been trimmed you can see it was a fair amount lol.

Thanks Herk. I’m a firm believer in healthy green leaves until harvest.

current EC is 1.0 consisting of the following

Water - 0.2EC
Dutch pro hydro coco Grow A/B - 0.5EC
CalMag/Fe - 0.3EC
pH down

feeding is 3x a day for 1minute of open running each time to create runoff.

RUNOFF EC is currently 0.4EC which is 0.6 less than input EC but as you quite rightly pointed out everything is healthy so I’m not adjusting any higher just yet.

during veg I was also adding some Si (potassium Silicat) barely anything to make the EC budge though. Maybe 6ml in 25L

On the small amount of time the original DIY irrigation system was running the sludge etc in the tubing was insane.

So I did some reading online and made an informed choice to purchase some KEEP IT CLEAN from Dutch Pro and add this to my nutrient top ups at a rate of 0.1ml per litre. So in 25L I add 2.5ml of the product which is supposed to help with build up in the irrigation system and hinder bacterial growth.

after reading about it I thought it was worth the money due to its very minimal usage dilution.

£10 for 250ml used at a rate of 0.1ml per litre makes 2500L of treated water.

Info below.

More tucking today.

Feeding upped to 4x a day

for my first introduction to LED’s I’m mightily impressed with how this light is vegging this plant.

I haven’t changed anything about the way that I grow specifically to fit in with it being LED I’m feeding my plant the same way as if it were still under HPS.
