Hello i’m pretty new to living soil and I’m just wondering after you harvest your plants how do you get ready and remove the old stalk from the soil so that you can plant your new plants of course after amending the soil but how do you actually get the old plant out

Safest way I've done Auto flowers, is to completely submerge the container and plant. I use a water pump to coarsely rinse roots.. A complete flush and a sucesful transplant.

That's what I do. Except I don't add all the stems and trimmings back. I don't have a living mulch either like you really should. So my method is like half-ass no-till.
And that is the best thing about organics. It can grow with you and fit you as the grower. We all have our things we like or dont like to do with growing. Try to develop what you like to do. I dont like having to buy stuff for my grow or having to measure/make shit. I hate teas. Not into FPJ or KNF. Dont like topdressing with compost/amendments. But I dont mind taking 10 min and mowing my bed or pots down. I was pretty motivated to get to a place where growing didnt cost me anything more than water and electricity. I'm not quite there yet, but I am down to a bag of cover crop seed, craft blend, Sponin, big 6 and mikrobs. Bought all that a year ago and wont buy anymore for another year.

But you dont have to grow a cover crop. Look at what is going on with the earthbox guys. they dont do cover crops. They do Kashi and worms to break down stuff. You can all just let your soil rest between grows. Grow a round then let it sit for a couple of months. keep it moist. Have more soil volume than you need to grow in.

Ive seen people compost out doors. They make leaf mold and compost, mix together and top dress with that. Works amazing and its Free.

Hell ya. I haven't made a tea in years. I bought the 25# bucket of Craft Blend last time. It's great stuff, but does have plenty Ca and my well water already has Ca, so I use it sparingly. I have a shit ton of stuff from BAS. My basement has been taken over. And I use yucca for saponin. I haven't fully mastered it yet either. I knew it was gonna be a learning experience.

I use Gro-Kashi too and have some red wigglers in there. I have multiple pots so I chop one, keep it moist, and let it sit for a couple months. The stump will just fall off them. But I've started pushing them back into the soil. Tell me about having more than you need. I have like 13 15 gal pots and then some.

A lot of times I'll mix the dry amendments with EWC or compost and kinda pre-cook it. Especially the stuff that actually gets hot.

One of the best sources of calcium ( with over 50 mico- nutrients including silica and organic matter) are crushed oyster shells. The natural life in QUALITY Organic compost aides in CO2 production.

I know how that is. I have all sorts of shit i been just dumping in these beds to use them up. I had a some egg shell, ground kelp meal, coffee grounds, Yeah i just blended all that together and just split if over the beds. Maybe 3 cups total for each bed. Still have a couple bags of Jobos Plant spikes. LOL oh the stuff we collect.

Not following the relevance here. Sorry.
