I went ahead and inoculated 4 more bags, 2 stargazer 2 golden teachers. Figured do those and toss syringes.
The first 2 bags I inoculated on 10/23 are at least 50% colonized, maybe a bit more now. Last checked Friday night. Knock on wood, so far so good.

do you plan to add them to something in tubs, or will you grow the mushrooms out of the uncle ben bags?

Gonna add to coco coir and put in small plastic container. Not sure if I can get multiple flush or its a one and done. But for $10 syringe and $2 for rice ill be cool with a fat 1/8th oz but hoping for more than that.
I have read a few "grow reports" where they say to add it to coco coir at around 30% colonization, up to around 80% colonization. When are you planning to add it to the coco coir?

Im trying to let rice fully colonize but I have one bag that is either bruised mycelium or contamination, right where i broke up mycelium block a couple days before. I'll check again tonight. If it looks like contamination I may try to salvage mycelium cuz its at about 50% colonization so far. If just bruised I'll let it ride till this weekend and see whats good.

I'd let it fully colonize too. What makes you think contamination?

I'll have to a pic tonight but there is some discoloration on the visible mycelium. But im hoping its just bruising from me breaking up the mycelium.
If it is contamination then maybe I ripped a tiny microscopic tear when I was breaking up mycelium. Knock on wood that I'm just being paranoid.

Im not sure, so far 3 weeks 2 days since inoculation and around 50% colonization. My temps haven't been consistent.

That was a bad idea, tripping in public.
This time around ill be at home listening to music and playing video games or some shit.
I ate some shrooms for the first time in about 25 years a few weeks ago. I was really disappointed. 75 bucks for a quarter. I took 3.5 grams the first time and found them to be really weak. I was "high" for about 3 hours, had visuals (not intense) for about 1 hour. Made me really miss LSD, unfortunately it has been about 30 years since I last tripped and have no idea where to even begin to find good acid. Hopefully this penis envy I ordered will satisfy my craving for a good, intense, trip.
