But.. um, yeah, it's how a good friend of mine busted my chops. I was giving Dave a hard time and told him his hubris would be his undoing. She then quipped, "Hubris and hegemony." (We'd been grappling over whom was going to cook what how.) You're right! I've gotta make some beignets, quit talkin', start fryin'! He won't battle me over beignets any more'n he would over beans and rice.
