What medium were you growing in?I only veg for 3-4 weeks and my average yield per plant 6 oz.
My last grow I vegged for 23 days from sprout and yielded 19.5 oz. with only 3 plants.

About 140g a plant (ish). Enough for me. I realise I can get a lot more than I have been. I have invested in new lights, a new extraction system and some heat/humidity controls. I am also upping my pot size by a 3rd and reviewing my medium/nutrients. The ones I have just harvested had 12 weeks veg because we had a massive heat wave this summer, like 10 degrees hotter than it normally ever gets and I couldn't keep my grow space cool enough. So I vegged them in a poly tunnel, outdoors, that is a really nice way of growing.I'm just curious.
On average, how much do you yield from a plant that vegged for 12 weeks?
I'm not trying to be a smart ass......... but it sounds like you have a decent set up and I can't understand why you have to veg for 3 months to yield 5 oz.? I yield more than that with a 4 week veg.........if I vegged for that long my tent would be completely filled before flower.About 140g a plant (ish). Enough for me. My next batch of plants have been in for 10 weeks, they will probably have another month before I am ready to flip them. I get they are probably ready now, but I am not.
Coco. What medium were you growing in?
I didn't have a decent setup. I got that 5oz with crappy Amazon cobs. I am yet to do anything under my new QBs. My last lot could have been a lot better. They were vegged by the sun and didn't really like being put back inside, they went a bit stretched.I'm not trying to be a smart ass......... but it sounds like you have a decent set up and I can't understand why you have to veg for 3 months to yield 5 oz.? How big are your plants when you start flower?
That's my plan. I had originally planned to do Dwc. But I've heard they are faster in veg but not necessarily in flower. Plus there reservoirs how big and how often then need changing . Having to dump 20 gallons of water in side an apartment is a bit of a bollocks . This is my first grow in a tent with my 480watt qb and first time with a scrog so better ironing out the kinks before throwing more in to.the works . My plan is to do one or two grows a year and the tent can lay dormant or if I fancy changing strains . I started in space buckets using crappy Amazon LEDs and the most I got was 2.5 ounces from on auto . Second was in a tote got 4 5 ounces . Now 3 photos going In a 4x4x8 . I'm happy to let them stretch while I train them then flip . Once or twice a year 10-15 ounces every 6-8 months is plenty for me maybe some time I'll have a blast at dwc but one step further down the lineI didn't have a decent setup. For reasons I can't be arsed to explain now I can no longer get my old medium choice. I had to make a soil mix and out of what I could get. It worked well enough, but with hindsight I think it was a tad too rich. After a metric fuck ton of research I have found a locally produced soil that fits my criteria, I really don't have the time to mix my own soil, I run my own business and am stupidly busy all the time.
It took me 18 months to be producing a good supply of weed and now I am starting from scratch again, so I am taking my time getting it setup right. I want to hit the ground running. The plants I have are ready to go. I have ditched my scrog net and have been LSTing since they hit the 3rd node. My plan is to have the new flower tent setup by Tuesday and then I am going to pot up my plants and veg them for at least a couple of weeks under the new setup, just to see if there are any issues. If there aren't I am going to Lollypop them and give them another week, then flip.
Part of my problem is having a wife that likes to change strains more often than her socks. I have put my foot down and we have agreed on a number of strains we both like and the agreeing on two and then running from clones. The choices are White Widow x Big Bud, Skywalker Haze, Bruce Banner #3 and Stardawg. I already have the Bruce Banner #3 cloning. She will only be allowed a new strain after we have run our chosen two 3 times each.
For the first time ever I am keeping notes. My aim is to be yielding 1g per watt inside 18 months. We'll see, I don't really care if I do as long as I have enough weed, it is decent and I have fun doing it.
