1. It's not a "chemical bag". It's a moisturizer.
2. Everything in the flower will break down over time. You can slow that down by deep freezing, but even then a few years will be stretching it. You store it in a jar at room temp for that long, it might still be potent but it will be a fraction of what it was originally.
Lol and here I thought the 'chemical bag' thing was rhetoric, as in we are all really just chemical bags. Shows how much I know.
And I started this thread:D:bigjoint::bigjoint::weed::peace::peace:

I am being 100% serious. I am lucky I am like a dude on the front line ready to go to battle with any strain any time lol! But most people I know are the opposite.
I took your comment to be serious, and so was mine.

I do enjoy a mild THC buzz, but not more than that. I'm am rarely in a place where I can take the full effect and still feel comfortable.

CBD is a different story, I find it very relaxing and soothing. Which is why I'm planning to grow a really good CBD strain, maybe will also try concentrate.

It is that simple -- Cannabis intensifies whatever emotions you already have. They maybe hidden even to you, at which point it may bubble up and surprise you (how some people have bad or stressful cannabis experiences).
Yes, it is quite obvious for me. However, I've talked to people who enjoy the THC unconditionally, and they say it relaxes them and actually makes them forget about the problems that they might have. This is really the opposite of what happens to me. It really seems to work quite differently for different folks.

Of course I've also heard other people report an experience similar to me (both in person and here on RIU).

I've also found that it doesn't really "bubble up" stuff that much, but it gives things that I already know and observe a very grim, pessimistic and unpleasant taste. All the while I know that it's just due to the substance, and that it will subside.

So it's simply not an experience that I seek. However, as I've said, if it's subdued enough, ie. if the dose is low enough, then it's mostly fine and usually pleasant.

I'm probably the typical micro-doser.

You may find a bargain if you have multiple sources (or grow your own). People always want to move older bud.
That's not a problem because I use so little. Also I do have my own stuff that I will just store for an extended period and see how it develops. Then, as I've mentioned, I will try combining it with a heavy dose of CBD, and see how that goes.

I'm not attached or addicted to the substance in any way, but it would be nice to find a way to actually enjoy it, because it does have potential, and it's a lot less harmful than alcohol.

One of the harder parts of using cannabis is being comfortable enough to really learn about who you are and how it affects you and what you like. I think it's great you know who you are and what you enjoy!

Those underlying negative feelings about parts of life, imo, are normal. How you handle them is what defines you (imo). Life is hard on people, and the world isnt getting less complicated.

If I can make a few strain suggestions:

1) Harlequin - one of the prettiest strains I have ever seen. Roughly 50-50 THC to CBD it is a very relaxing combo and will allow you to go above a micro dose if you choose without stress.

2. Orange Herijuana - A really tasty, nice strain that also has high CBD and will mellow the THC component and offer a very pain free experience. Very tasty but not the bag appeal of the Harlequin.

If you have any trouble getting them let me know I will help.

@ComfortCreator I have a few 1:1 strains in the fridge, so I would probably pop those first if I ever get to it. There are also the CBD strains (I have Charlotte's Angel and CBD #1); they definitely have priority.

I can always mix "regular" flower with CBD.

There are just too many good genetics to choose from nowadays, and I already have more seeds than I can grow for a long time (mind you I'm not in a place where it's legal, so my options are limited to begin with).

Well, it's not that I have discovered MJ only yesterday. It definitely hasn't always been stressful for me to have a good toke, but over the years I have realized that it's an impediment rather than something that "enhances me". Especially since the things that I like to do in my free time are of cognitive nature, and then it certainly is an impairment.

As I've said above, there are a good amount of people who feel similarly, they either don't like it at all because it makes them feel weird, or stressed, or they really do not use a lot at once. Then there are others who just get enjoyment out of it no matter what.
My brother likes to have a smoke once in a while, but only in moderation, and he says pretty much what you said: it's good in the right mood, but not always.
