The trays are 16" bottom diameter and 18" top. Should barely fit in a 3x3. 18x2=36, lol.

But I'd get the trays first just to make sure your tent is really 36".

A 10 or 15 plastic pot fits with that tray.

What does the extension do, make the tent taller? If so, I would. The more headroom the better.

That'll be nice. But I'd still choose 4 15's. You could pull 4 off barely it looks like. Then you could rotate each of 4 plants if you needed. But whatever you decide should be cool.
