I was going to make poppers today and thought that would be sick to tempura fry. But reading the recipes it probably would be better to cook then chill the poppers. Then dip and finish fry.

No those were done in the smoker. But I don't see why you couldn't dunk them in Tempura batter afterwards and fry them up.

poppers on a smoker is always a good combination....love doing them that way
